@rarity Haven't seen Fantano's review of it yet but I definitely agree with that point, Blackstar is very specifically about his death and gains much of its moving intimacy from the fact that it was made by Bowie while he knew was and was in the process of dying. Like many of his best records, the context surrounding the record is just as important as the record itself. True to his nature as a performer and artist, Bowie made his death, like his life, a beautiful work of art.
