I've never been a fan of Some Nights, but the one thing I always gave them was the fact that lyrically they were fine. I never found the lyrics to be dull or uninspired. Then I realized that Some Nights, lyrically, was ripping of Aim and Ignite. Like, there are several lines in Some Nights that are like lines from Aim and Ignite but lamer. Example: All Alright, I've given everyone I know a good reason to go", vs. At Least I'm Not As Sad, "I don't keep friends, I keep acquainted, I'm not a prophet but I'm here to profit". They're both saying "I'm a cold and distant papayas" one just does it so much better.

@northernnarwhal The important word here is "seamlessly", Yes, Imagine Dragons sort of does different styles, but it's always a different song, and it's always a complete change in style. If you heard Demons, Radioactive, and On Top of the World, you wouldn't think "Wow, these all sound like the same group." You'd think "Are these different bands with the same singer?" With DCFC, even when they change it up, you hear anything by them and immediately think "That's mother bananasing Death Cab"

@awlditzy Yes. With our opinions on any subject combined, you would have a complete image of everything that's good and bad with that thing.

Ellie and I have conflicting gifts. I'm capable of finding reasons why any music/tv show/movie/game/any form of media is good, whereas Ellie can find reasons anything is bad.

@northernnarwhal Eh, I don't disagree. I still really enjoyed the album though. I agree that it's not their best, but I really wouldn't call As the Stars album of the year either.
