@mangeurdenuage My original post was under the assumption that @roko was talking about stuff like auto repair, not electronics and computers. They are two different fields where the reasons why pay sucks differ quite a bit.

@roko That's because people are dumb and undercharge, so mechanics are forced to undercharge too or go broke because some idiot that doesn't value his own work will do it cheaper.

@orekix Depends on which one. The UTN is positively great as far as class quality and the people that go there, but only has engineering and related careers. Universities that deal in humanities are so full of imbeciles that even if classes are ok it's hard to put up with everything else.

@crushv I guess you have a point there. I never consider that kind of thing since I have 0 social need and just talk to people because I enjoy it, doesn't cross my mind that others might need it until it's mentioned.
I studied quite far from where I lived for a bit, the only thing that annoyed me was not having all my stuff with me. -
@orekix @crushv On one side I'd recommend that, on the other side as an argentinian I'm campaigning for changing laws so that free education here is restricted to citizens that are up to date with their taxes.
Take advantage while you can I guess. Better someone decent taking up that spot in a class than a zurdito de mierda. -
@crushv It doesn't mean "move permanently", you just move while you study. The only way to fix US universities is to boycott them. If big numbers of people start simply studying abroad, they'll change.
