  1. @celestiaforequestria Maybe the robot was doing flips and cherries under the bridge and I'll see it when I develop the shot and the FBI and stuff will come to my house and steal all my negatives, it'll be another Solway Firth Spaceman! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solway_Firth_Spaceman

  2. @celestiaforequestria I DON'T KNOW! But I know I'm going back there when the moon's close to full, it'll give me some better lighting. Photography comes before self preservation!

  3. @redenchilada I did get the shot, but I shoot film so I'll have to wait to get it developed. I really liked the location, so I'm hoping it'll be a good shot. Definitely going to go back when there's a full moon to get some different light on it. So not looking forward to that, but damn. I really wanna see it in better light.

  4. @celestiaforequestria Oh that's awesome. Yeah, the left hand side is a little bit purple, but it's nothing a bit of post can't fix.

  6. Holy good freakin' lord that was creepy. Just got back from doing a long exposure shot, go to the middle of nowhere to this bridge, at 11PM, for a half hour exposure. This place was dead silent, there was nothing there, two cars passed by, and nothing ever went across the bridge. That place was like, where the zombie apocalypse starts. Middle of nowhere, no cell service, and total silence. I was going to for half an hour, but only let it go to 25 minutes. Then, when I went back down to the bridge to get my camera, I heard a loud metallic thud come from the bridge like the second I closed my shutter, I bolted back to my car so fast. That was some creepy papayas, man.

  7. Going to try my shot at long exposure photography this evening, like, half hour exposures. This is going to be really boring. Bringing a book! Ironically about long exposure photography.

  8. @redenchilada I've been playing contact sports my whole life, so I've had a few. Though I did get one 'cause as I was getting out of my car, like, as I had my door open, and was leaning out my door to get out of my car, some kid came running through the parking lot, slammed into my door, knocking it into my head. That hurt, a lot. The little cherriesstain just ran off afterward, too. Like nothing had happened.

  9. Did mixed discipline sparring at the gym today. I usually do Muay Thai or Jiu Jitsu sparring, but mixed discipline uses both as well as any other disciplines in which you're trained. I got thrown, landed on my back, and my head bounced against the mat. My head hurts, I feel concussed, too. I've had concussions before, so whatever. If you've never had a concussion you think they're a big deal, but if you've had a few, you're like 'Oh I have a concussion'. I'm in the latter camp.

  10. If you could get totally baked with one pony, who would it be? I'd go with Rarity. She's such a high stress pony, I'd really like to see her get baked off her papayas and mellow out for a bit.

  12. I just now realized that 'The Dandy Warhols' is a play on the name 'Andy Warhol'. I do not pick up on puns with any sort of haste. Like, it was only on my third run through FiM that I realized 'Oh, OHHHHHHHH! NightMARE Moon! I get it now!'

  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3iWEMRBabM - Music like this is why people never ask me to pick what we listen to in the car, at the gym, at a party, or anywhere else. I think eastern European folk music is awesome, but not a lot of people agree with me.

  17. @presentperfect Man, reading the phrase "see if we can't find it", that really is an 'Ohio thing'. I've lived in Ohio or Canada my whole life, and the phrase "see if we can't" baffles people who aren't from this region. Sounds like a good time, I'll eventually make my way to one of the meets, and it'll be like a pony IRC only instead of multiplayer notepad it'll be like the RL.

  21. Not sure if I like this shot. Took it a couple months ago, immediately dismissed it, but was going through some of old shots to see what I got wrong and see what I got right. I usually do street, candid, and concert photography, so things like this aren't my thing. http://ur1.ca/4z7at

  23. @abigpony Yeah, I knew she did double duty for the tomboy ponies, but I didn't she sang for Dash, too. Eclectic voice fo' sho'.

  24. @abigpony I didn't know she was in a band! Did some gaggling, and yeah, the band Hey Ocean! is very mid to late nineties pop with female vocalists.

  25. Wouldn't it be awesome if whoever does Dash's singing voice did a record that was like, Rainbow Dash does female pop vocalists from the mid 90s? Rainbow Dash singing The Cardigans, Ivy, The Cranberries, No Doubt, Garbage? That would be amazing.

  27. @muttstuffle It's not fun to talk about, and people don't get it. I can't speak about it from a female standpoint, but it's akin to being an atheist. If there were an atheist movement that called itself 'Under God', I wouldn't think I was welcome there. If a female fan is looking at this community from the outside, and sees a 'Brony' forum, or IRC, I doubt they're going to think 'oh that's for me!'. Greta Christina has discussed these things at a greater and far more eloquent manner than I will ever be capable of; http://gretachristina.typepad.com/greta_christinas_weblog/2011/07/why-we-have-to-talk-about-this.html

  28. @muttstuffle I discussed this topic on Tumblr; http://doctormowinckel.tumblr.com/post/8703583063/the-term-brony I think the term sucks and is segregating the fanbase.
