  1. @northernnarwhal I meant murderers who kill because they desire to kill.

  2. @thelastgherkin Oh I laughed!

  3. @northernnarwhal We should never desire to kill, but we should be willing to if called upon for a greater cause. It's more merciful to kill a murderer than to lock him away forever if it means that he'll have remorse for his crime.

  4. @scoot We're reversing entropy m8. I maintain that that happens because we're not sacrificing as we should.

  6. @northernnarwhal If I understand correctly, you're saying that guns only bring about negative consequences because of their destructive power. I'm saying that sometimes, to reign in greater destruction, we need to sacrifice something.

  7. http://www.bartleby.com/73/1065.html I'm glad others see our point.

  8. @critialcloudkicker Yeah. I felt so bad for a Russian guy who bought a vinyl figure from me. Shipping cost more than the actual figure! I added some MLP pencils in the package as a consolation.

  9. @northernnarwhal you know that fighting fire with controlled fire is an actual strategy that works very well, right?

  10. @critialcloudkicker They wish! (Heck, what do I really know about power, though, honestly. I was exaggerating when I said best and most powerful. I can't know that for sure, though most signs point to me being correct.)

  11. @northernnarwhal Just meant to lighten the mood. I fail epicly at that whenever I try, I think.
But seriously, I'm not saying we're perfect.

  12. @pony I'm kidding there though.

  16. @northernnarwhal You're right. It just gives me peace of mind that I live in the best, most powerful country.

  17. @critialcloudkicker You are allowed, but I could ask the same to proponents of gun control

Friday, 11-Jul-14 14:52:46 UTC from web in context
  18. @scoot It just goes to show there's a lack of evidence for either side's argument. Based purely on logic, if every responsible person in a community carried a weapon of equal power (firearm or not) as well as every irresponsible person, eventually there wouldn't be as many irresponsible people.

  19. @northernnarwhal I'm totally right though. :)

  20. We might do well to remember that stricter gun laws might reduce gun attacks, but they don't necessarily help reduce violent crime rates. http://pny.lv/3ajw

  21. @northernnarwhal lawbreakers can get guns illegally. I don't think I'd mind registration, though, as long as it didn't make the process too difficult to obtain a weapon.

Friday, 11-Jul-14 14:46:10 UTC from web in context
  22. @scoot I find that very hard to believe.

Friday, 11-Jul-14 14:44:02 UTC from web in context
  23. @scoot @northernnarwhal except the lawbreakers of course. That idea is just .. gah!

  24. @northernnarwhal Of course teachers need not actually be trained in gun use... I guess I got carried away there.. maybe just tazers.

Friday, 11-Jul-14 14:41:36 UTC from web in context
  25. @northernnarwhal And training on how to use them for teachers.

  26. @northernnarwhal MURICA! We won't go down without a fight! I think the problem is that we don't have enough guns to stop the crazies. Sane people need to get on the ball and start toting. http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/184/f/e/happy_4th_of_july_by_bakki-d7p1eol.jpg

  28. @mushi It's my opinion based on experience that while it may increase desire it markedly decreases unassisted, natural performance with an actual real life human partner.

Friday, 11-Jul-14 14:31:31 UTC from web in context
  29. @northernnarwhal I gotcha. That's true enough.
