@northernnarwhal We should never desire to kill, but we should be willing to if called upon for a greater cause. It's more merciful to kill a murderer than to lock him away forever if it means that he'll have remorse for his crime.

@northernnarwhal If I understand correctly, you're saying that guns only bring about negative consequences because of their destructive power. I'm saying that sometimes, to reign in greater destruction, we need to sacrifice something.

@critialcloudkicker Yeah. I felt so bad for a Russian guy who bought a vinyl figure from me. Shipping cost more than the actual figure! I added some MLP pencils in the package as a consolation.

@scoot It just goes to show there's a lack of evidence for either side's argument. Based purely on logic, if every responsible person in a community carried a weapon of equal power (firearm or not) as well as every irresponsible person, eventually there wouldn't be as many irresponsible people.

@northernnarwhal lawbreakers can get guns illegally. I don't think I'd mind registration, though, as long as it didn't make the process too difficult to obtain a weapon.
