@beatstrings I've read it a few times and it's a personal favourite of mine. It's really interesting to re-read and discover the novella's mild obsession with the ideas of interiors versus exteriors (especially through the character Marlow) as well as the juxtaposition of denotation and connotation.

@metaltao Yup, I have to make a lot of calls from the Japanese guy because it was exclusive and hard to find in my country. Literally above the list of rarest beyblades I can find. Plus, I love the emotion it wields in that clock face.

@beatstrings I've never heard or read of it being modernized as "duu", as far as my knowledge goes there are no other spellings outside of the 2 romanization systems.

@metaltao The original romanization system for hanzi to English was built on an imperfect understanding of Chinese. Because there were multiple Chinese dialects to convert, consonants were initially used very sparingly, so something like the 't' in "tao" would signify a 'd' sound whereas if you wanted a 't' sound you needed to write "t'ao" in the old system.

@metaltao Yeah, geodes can have a number of different crystal formations that can change their colour. That /might/ be an agate geode but I'm not entirely sure, colour is not a very reliable indicator.
