  1. @amiloradovsky "This toot (reply to own reply, a follow-up) didn't contain any mentions by default (feature?)" Yes, this is done deliberately :-)
Regarding CW (Note name in terms) - I'm testing this now for and .io and plan to release...
The keyboard doesn't disapper, when switching or screen rotation, if Note editor is active.
I mentioned "business users" in a context of users' need in "intuitive" UI, not about in particular :-)

  2. @amiloradovsky Regarding 's "visibility".
I plan to implement this in a unified way using , so the feature could be reused for different social networks. Using the vocabulary, "visibility" means, which groups of users will be able to see the note/activity: Public (all, even unauthenticated), "Users of this instance" etc. or no groups at all and only concrete list of recipients (this is close to "Private" timeline).
    Not sure about proper indicators...

  3. @LeeteqXV No, "CW" as other implementations of a note's "name" (title) is not supported yet, I'm just adding it to data model. I also plan to add an option to collapse note's content, if the note's name is present (as users are accustomed to this...)

    Any comments?

  16. @thatbrickster Whoa, I thought that my local database of 250 Mb is the largest used with # It looks like you configured AndStatus not to purge old notes in Settings -> Storage?! Please do this if you see that the database is too large.
Your own notes, reposts and likes by you shouldn't be purged in any case... but I would create a backup first...
Regarding treating local database as a cache: cache is what can be re-read from a server, if necessary, but if you store data for years, like I do, you have in your local database content that may be unavailable at the original source. Or that source server may be already shut down... Moreover, I see posts telling that e.g. a timeline from # is available for several _days_ only.

  17. #Mastodon idea:

instead of not letting people toot images without text, how about we go one step further and _require_ alt-text????

If people wanna be lazy they can continue putting dots everywhere, but at least they won't _forget_ to add it.

  30. @nestort Yes, in some cases AndStatus doesn't retrieve conversation from a server, but shows only previously loaded messages of the conversation. Now you need to press "Sync" button in the Action bar to get the latest messages of the conversation from the server.
I see that I need to do this syncing automatically in any case, on every conversation opening?!
BTW I automatically monitor "AndStatus" word and the # hashtag in all connected social networks using syncing Search timelines, so I received your mentioning AndStatus from several places.
Tip: # supports search by a hashtag only, so please use # for even better discoverability :-)
