  2. @theanneh The only thing scarier than human babies is that there's a skeleton in each one of them.

  8. @theanneh Over here you need to have a stall or store in an area that is subject to a police raid or walk into the police station trying to sell them to get charged with anything related to piracy. Wich happened once. Some guy walked in with a whole bunch of pirated CDs/DVDs and the cops were forced to arrest him to keep up appearances. They probably facepalmed until their hands got sore too. It's the distributors' fault though. You can't expect to charge a tenth of a salary for a game and have people buy it.

  11. @theanneh All the games are pirated, everyone knows that, there is no real legit market around here since years ago they kiwied up the prices big time, people decided to start selling pirated copies, and once everyone got used to it there was no way legit games could compete. Rarely people buy originals from stores, most people nowadays either buy pirated or from steam sales.
Buenos Aires isn't really /that/ bad if you're used to metropolii, I just never liked ultra urban areas. Grew up in the outskirts, so I like greener and calmer places where the pigeons fly away when you go near them instead of climbing on a table and staring you dead in the eye while pecking fries.

  15. @theanneh The game worked on another computer I got later on, but that's how rips are, hit and miss. Wether they work or not is arbitrary and depends on the computer, even if within the hardware requirements. I can go to the country's capital (Buenos Aires) in about hour and a half in bus, or 40 minutes in the car, and there are stores for literally everything over there; yet the heat-irradiating architecture of the place, dog poo everywhere, and overcrowded streets mean that I only go if I really need to.

  16. @theanneh Well, I have no similar experiences with comic stores as I rarely go to them (they're not that common around here) but once I did a smear campaign on a music/games store because they sold me a game that refused to work and was a direct rip, something they denied.

  24. @theanneh I should probably mention RDN's Law to you. Give or take, it states that in a given conversation the probability of that conversation becoming about Nazis or dicks increasing proportionally with time, eventually reaching infinitely close to a hypothetical asymptote probability=1.
