  5. @toksyuryel @widget X defines a protocol, and the sending end only needs to speak that protocol in order to be able to send it anywhere that also understands it.

  6. @toksyuryel For me the obvious conclusion, which is painfull overlooked by the article is that all problems in videogames A) have solutions and B) have solutions bounded by the game environment. This is in stark contrast to the innumberable unsolvable problems of real life, with their totally unbounded number of solutions.

  12. @toksyuryel The "Fractal of bad design" thing? That seems like a fairly robust criticism of the language itself. There's no "People do bad things with php ergo it is bad" there. Or if there is, it's not the point he's chosen to hang his critique off of.

  14. @toksyuryel I'm at work, and you rather helpfully tagged the article as NSFW, so I didn't click it. If it's in the vein of the oft repeated "PHP is bad because outsourced indian programmers working from "how to learn PHP in 24 hours" books based on PHP3 write awful things in it" then it falls into the latter.

  16. @toksyuryel Well, that was a fun read. (Then again, as far as I'm concerned most/all of Eevee's stuff is.)

  20. @toksyuryel I've met people who're in denial of it. They're usually the hysterical "Nothing good can ever come from 4chan ever that site is only for pedophiles after all" type.

  21. @toksyuryel I will when I get home. After Hangable Auto Bulb rhythms especially got more complex, so I'll try to strike a good balance.

  24. @toksyuryel http://ur1.ca/agrae It's actually a terrible term, but I use it since it's stuck and I do feel the categorizing helps. I debated once with a friend where's the best place to start, I said µ-Ziq's Hasty Boom Alert and he said Coil's Dead Snow. But I think I started with Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and that's a good one.

  26. @toksyuryel About brony music, I don't enjoy Eurobeat Brony compared to say eurobeat found in Initial D. It doesn't embody everything that I love about eurobeat, like the ridiculous lyrics. Most of the time there's no vocals, and when there is it's no Dave Rodgers. As for Balloon Party, I disliked it because my taste in electronic music is different.

  30. @toksyuryel lol Yes! probably! Love me Cheerilee! Thanks for the info, that's quite a big accent mistake. You know I might be just totally wrong about my understanding of the situation. @abigpony Nope, I'm saying that A) You're not an ****, but might seem like one because you doing think in terms of social norms (lower social intelligence relative to vampix), and conversely you think vampix is getting upset over something trivial because you analysis of other people's feelings disregards some subtlety's (presumably because you focus on the concrete, objective). If you notice, you just said 'his music is really bad', then continued to reinforce why he is so bad. To me, as someone who is socially sensitive, like vampi, but only thinks in 'meta', because I have to, that offends me because I respect Wooden Toaster. You have provided a concrete reason why he deserves less credit than I've given, but I still think he's great for providing something really awesome to the community.
