I am so happy to be back on E17 again. This new terminal emulator is really slick too. Just need to figure out how to do unicode input in it like I could in urxvt and I'll be set. Perhaps E17 has an option…

@snowcone Lauren has zero influence over the show now and never had any over Hasbro even when she was still working on it. There's not much Tara can do that she'd really have any cause to try. All anyone involved in the show can do is try to talk some sense into Hasbro but Hasbro doesn't like to listen and the show staff have better things to do with their time.

@snowcone It's a pretty bad situation that's been developing over the past couple months, to be sure. But there's little that can be done unless people fight back, and unfortunately most won't because they don't know how and the system is designed to favor large entities with lots of money.

@snowcone It's hard to say if this was ever actually "encouraged". Hasbro is quite infamous for not having half a clue what the rest of the world is even up to. It's not a stretch to imagine that their legal team simply didn't know about these things until recently.

@northernnarwhal The channel hasn't been taken down because the videos were never removed, just made unavailable in the US so they don't actually have any copyright strikes against their account.

@snowcone News sites are safe by law. That doesn't mean they won't still go after them, but it does mean they are unlikely to win a court battle if they encounter resistance.
