Sat. 11th, someone was looking into hiking Santiago Peak in Orange County, and Sun. 12th someone's looking to pull together a potluck an the Korean Bell of Friendship in San Pedro (Pey-dro or Peh-dro, not Pee-dro, you pinche gringos (j/k)). And on Sunday 19th someone is looking to pull together a group to see "The Expendables 2." I'm going to tie "action stars tag-team blowing dudes in pieces" to "friendship" somehow. . . . !SoCal and !LAbronies -- Looks like people are really angling to take advantage of the last days of the summer. On Friday, August 10th there are two meetups -- One at the "dinosaur park" in Laguna Hills, as well as a farewell to a visitor on a summer internship at Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim. Saturday 11th, a beach meetup in Huntington AND a park meetup/potluck in Anaheim. Sunday 12th, a walkaround meetup at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. @noir I saw that announcement. All the leak does is further justify their reasoning for keeping tight-knit and closed up, and limiting the number of folks working on the game. By the time that game comes out, a game they've said will only have season one characters, season 3 will probably be over.

!vgp Well I got Fallout 3 today, and I want to play it, but I just get the feeling it's not the best idea to start playing that when I'm still in the middle of my first playthrough of NV, which I also want to keep playing. So might just have to leave it untouched for a long while, or at least until I finish all the main stuff in NV.

@ecmc New Vegas is way better anyway. Whenever you do get around to Fallout 3, remember to lower your expectations.

!vgp Saints Row The Third was an awesome game, but now that I'm replaying Saints Row 2, I'm being consistently amazed by how many great features it had that were just completely left out of SR3. Like.. radio stations with more than two good songs. Holy crap I missed this soundtrack.

@minti The power bloat only got crazier with the introduction of Ultimate (90) gear. But. Low-level play with friends and stuff on normal/hard is a good time.

F-Zero Maximum Velocity (GBA) sucks balls. The controls are horrendous. The original SNES controls are more direct, which is definitely better. !vgp

!vgp so I bought Gotham City Imposters. its a fun game with nearly endless combinations for loadout slots. HOWEVER even getting into a game is another matter whatsoever. getting dropped by the server is a more then common issue and finding players in matchmaking can be a chore with the ammount of connection drops from the servers I've found. hopefully they patch that. other then that its a fantastic game

@scribus Well I'm assuming you meant creating a distro and overseeing its development, rather than installing an existing one and just playing sysadmin. The former is what would make for an interesting game.

!vgp wtf Nintendo! I go out of my way this weekend to get a network cable to hook my Wii to the internets only to come home frustrated finding out it has no network cable port. so now I have to find a LAN adapter just so I can make use of the 4000 Nintendo Wii points I bought! and I'm having a hell of a time finding one. no luck yet. really wish I had help obtaining one in my town. so I only want to tell Nintendo to STOP BEING DUMB!
