@whiterose I'd love to try and understand, but I have never experienced the death of someone close to me and I have no idea how I would feel.

@whiterose Empathy is the ability to feel what someone else feels. I.e. it's the skill of understanding and reliving the emotions of the person you are communicating with.

@hearpaulroar @whiterose Empathy tries to understand and relate while sympathy does nothing but feel sorry for, which accomplishes nothing. Yeah you are right about empathy :)
