@fsf I converted "The Right to Read" and "Lending: a Solved Problem" into nice fold-in-half pamphlets (preformatted for super-easy printing on 2-sided US Letter sized paper), in case anyone's looking for material to hand out for #IDAD:

@fsf in case anyone wants both "The Right to Read" *and* "Lending: a Solved Problem" in a single easy-printing fold-once #IDAD pamphlet, I made a nice preformatted PDF for that too: https://www.hackerposse.com/~rozzin/idad-2019_pamphlet.pdf
(and you can even change which article is in front by just by folding it in the other direction! ☺)

Also remember: the #FreeSoftware community introduced the first #OpenMoko months before #Apple launched #iPhone — and #GreenPhone months before that. Even with major... debut foibles, they were amazing—not just technically, but also socially: https://www.mail-archive.com/gnhlug-discuss@mail.gnhlug.org/msg26330.html

Apple's "secure boot" in the 2018 macbook pro is more aptly called restricted boot. It prevents GNU/Linux from accessing the laptop's ssd drive. We've been warning about these kinds of restrictions since Microsoft
initially adopted them: https://u.fsf.org/2po- maiyannah repeated this.
