  1. @underdogbassist !bcbronies Haha I was about to say. It's gonna be a MASSACRE.

  2. Yo RDNet, just wanna plug my Tumblr 'cause I need more questions and wouldn't mind more followers or at least some more input. http://ask-flutterdon.tumblr.com

  3. @underdogbassist Probably not, sorry. I'm drivin' down 1-2 people already but could very easily fill up with other friends last-minute. If you've got a vehicle, why not instead offer rides to other people and ask for gas money? Anyone goin' with me's gotta give me $20 or something, probably.

  4. @jackzhang !bcbronies Heh, cute. Been watchin' that show, it's pretty sweet so far.

  5. @mcbrony !bcbronies Not so sure it's on Canadian Netflix. Could be wrong though.

  6. @jackzhang !bcbronies There's a C rating? Yeesh, I've never heard of that. I've been watching a lot of TMNT today and I miss the times when you could show a good ol' beheading on Saturday morning kids' TV.

  7. @jackzhang !bcbronies Also I can't wait to see what kind of ridiculous censoring they might put on this season, particularly when Lesson Zero comes around. Can someone say "Toddler channel's probably gonna completely can the bear-neck-snapping scene"?

  8. @spectrumflash Heck yeah. I've got the Firefox RSS Ticker add-on and when someone types something to the Vancouverbronies group it scrolls along. Forum's still definitely a good idea though.

  9. @spectrumflash Yeah, that's helpful. I have it set to my RSS feed checking system so I don't need to ever actually check RDN, updates just come up as I browse normally.

  10. @bronymike @jackzhang @spectrumflash GEE, GOLLY RDNET AND MY KEYBOARD, THANKS FOR WORKING AGAINST ME TO POST SOMETHING INSTEAD OF BACKSPACING. Anyway, being able to keep up-to-date with just what's comin' up on RDN is still my main method and should remain top priority. I do like the abilities this will open for people to post their specific locations and perhaps find people to hang out with who live closest to them, though. Maybe I could finally get some people down here in White Rock instead of always having to drive for an hour.

  11. @jackzhang @spectrumflash Please 'n' thank you. Not much time to check out forums these days, so being able to keeping in touch on the faster-paced single-stream RDN should still be

  12. !bcbronies Don't be too disheartened. You should've been ready to rock the pre-reg, sure, but Anime Revolution's that same weekend, and if you're not down at Everfree, you'll all be able to make a pretty sweetass presence at AR.

  13. @mcbrony !bcbronies Wait, crap, I left out two Bs. It's BBBBBBQFF, Big Brother, Best Brony Barbecue Friend Forever. The extra "B" is for "BYOBB".

  14. @mcbrony !bcbronies I believe you mean BBBBBQFF

  16. @jackzhang !bcbronies I don't really see the need for a forum, but if you guys wind up making one, at least promise me that any events being planned will still at least be mentioned in detail on here.

  17. !bcbronies When I was in high school I was the biiiiiiiggest hipster, all the time doing stuff "because it's cool" or "to confuse people", which is all fine and dandy, I just don't want the fandom's image becoming somehow endangered as a result. Point is, do what you want, just be careful. Also, I monologue too damn much on RDN, huh?

  18. @jackzhang !bcbronies Yeah, I was at that. It was at the same time as a major convention and was a pretty awesome time. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just saying I wouldn't be involved. Likewise I think the PNE Suits idea is stupid and I don't like paintball because it's too expensive. Doesn't mean I'm vehemently against them being done, I'm just saying to be careful about planning and that I probably won't be involved. Sorry I keep crapping on your plans. You've gotta explain what you mean by "flash mob" in more depth, though, since I think the term covers a fairly broad spectrum. Pinkiequest worked because it was done over a wide area, but each location just got it for a very short period. Most importantly, though, it was done under the banner of one of Seattle's biggest conventions, so instead of "Those obnoxious bronies", we would've been labelled "Those obnoxious geeks".

  19. !bcbronies I still don't like flash mobs.

  20. !bcbronies Hey, if anyone going to the paintball would be brave enough to take a pic or video with their phone or something (hopefully outside of the battlefield or in the middle of peace time) it would be cool to see some shots of the hangout. Maybe some of you could try painting a pony with the paintballs or something. I dunno.

  21. @balthazar !bcbronies Just be careful about bringing the camera into the cafe; you might need to film outside or something. Places tend to not like people filming in them.

  22. !bcbronies Just an update on Operation SibsyCard, it all went off as well as it possibly could have. She was surprised and absolutely thrilled. Should be a post with a bunch of pics and the video I recorded up on EqD sometime tomorrow.

  23. !bcbronies Just to get people up to speed, since there seems to be some sort of mystery going on: On Saturday people signed a large birthday card for Sibsy and a small group of us are hoping to meet at DHX and surprise her with it. We're in talks with some people at the studio to discuss the feasibility of this, though the smaller our group, the more likely we'll be let in to give her the card. As such, the group going to DHX is closed and locked, and I apologize to anyone who was hoping to attend. If we're denied access to the studio outright and we have some advance notice of such, we may open the meet up to some more people and meet with Big Jim at the cafe downstairs from DHX, though our preference would be to hand it over in person.

  24. !bcbronies I'm in this Entrepreneurial IT course in university over the summer and as the main project, we need to essentially make a business and the groups get more profit based on their business' earnings. My group's making a company where we'll design websites for clients. Prices for this are based on the complexity of the site, and things that involve additional PHP coding, widgets, more professional themes, many pages, etc. would drive up the price, but we could probably make up a simple Wordpress site for $50-$100. So I'm wondering, if anyone thinks they'd be interested in a website, or if you know anyone who might be interested, drop a line to mshay@live.ca or bronymike@derpymail.com if you'd prefer. Sorry to advertise this here, but I've gotta get something done on this before I get to the next class, or I'm in trouble with the group. We just need to show the teacher that there's some amount of demand and that there are prospective clients so we can proceed with the project.

  25. @thepuzzldpirate !bcbronies Also, Everfree's close, but not THAT close. We could still do some sort of medium-sized meetup, but a full-on convention is kinda illogical, if infeasible.

Monday, 21-May-12 05:53:02 UTC from web in context
  26. @thepuzzldpirate Potential small-scale birthday thing for Sibsy. We're trying to keep attendance of this very small. I forget, have you got Skype? We can discuss there (MikeOShay), or you can PM me on Youtube (BronyMike). If necessary, bronymike@derpymail.com email.

  27. @phunkymat !bcbronies Oh yeah, it's max a 3-hour drive for most of us mainlanders.

  28. !bcbronies Does anyone have any tips on parking up in Gastown? I got a third part-time job and can't use my usual method of parking on Vancouver. Is it always meters up there (and how much do they cost), or is there anywhere that's free?

Monday, 21-May-12 03:10:17 UTC from web in context
  29. @phunkymat !bcbronies *Convention. And go down to Everfree in Seattle. If we try to hold a convention up here it'll just be expensive and cannibalize the other, much larger and more professionally-arranged one down there.
