  1. !bcbronies Alrighty. Deets posted to http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/04/nightly-roundup-286.html, hopefully I got the facts straight.

  2. @tjdetweiler !bcbronies That's why I keep reposting these details. With luck, they'll be on EqD tonight in the roundup for easy reference. Sat. Apr. 21st, Vancouver library, late afternoon or evening, finale viewing. Bring $5-$10 to cover room rental. Daniel Ingram could possibly be in attendance. If you're coming, sign here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FFWVZ9Z

  3. @tjdetweiler Haha, it's pretty much a cross between Cupcakes Pinkie, Iron Will, and Pyramid Head. Also, I didn't even realize the joke with that last one until I looked back and saw the party hat again, I was just thinking about the apron.

  5. @therealscoutaloo !victoriabronies Daniel Ignium is my favourite type of rock. Daniel Ingram, however, is just a damn fine composer.

  6. @therealscoutaloo !bcbronies I'm going on both days and it's just an extra $10. There'll probably be a lunchtime meetup on both days or something, but nothing's planned yet due to no Fan Expo schedule.

  7. @thepuzzldpirate !bcbronies 5-9 to be safest I guess

  8. @tequilasunrise !bcbronies Ah, excellent. Hmm, yeah, even if I sign in it looks like I can't view the results. It'd be nice if we had a system where everyone could read the results so we can plan more easily. I sent a note to EqD that we were trying to gauge attendance numbers, I'll actually re-send the message with the survey link instead. Just keep us posted on the numbers, especially if they go over, say, 65.

Monday, 09-Apr-12 20:35:36 UTC from web in context
  9. @tequilasunrise !bcbronies Is there an easy way to check how many people have clicked "yes" on the survey? Also, it's kinda unsettling having a survey with no other options. If someone wants to see results but can't confirm attendance, a "no" button would be nice.

Monday, 09-Apr-12 20:18:43 UTC from web in context
  10. @tequilasunrise !bcbronies The group is just to get a number of how many people are attending.

  12. @spectrumflash !bcbronies You got a legal way of viewing it up here?

Monday, 09-Apr-12 18:24:34 UTC from web in context
  13. @tequilasunrise !bcbronies We don't want the attendance numbers to get out of hand? We're doing this to check the numbers now so we know if we need to scale up the capacity of the room we're reserving.

  14. @fang8989 !bcbronies Though Facebook will get plenty of people's attention and is very accessible, it's a double-edged sword in that not everyone will necessarily want to announce to the world "HEY I'M WATCHING MY LITTLE PONY FINALE LOLOLOL". Not everyone's that outspoken about their bronydom.

  15. @underdogbassist "He went? Well, wendigo?"

  16. !bcbronies We are hoping to use the convention centre's or the library's internet to download the episodes beforehand and @tesla500 is offering to bring a projector. I can bring my laptop and HDMI/VGA cables. It appears that the library's conference room has a speaker system, so hopefully there will be no trouble on that end. ***To cover the costs, we are hoping to collect $5-$10 at the door from all attendees. Please bring at least $5 in cash.*** The room is $200 for 4 hours, and if we need to expand beyond 60 people it's bumped up to about $350, so hopefully the cover charge is understood. Our reasons for choosing this venue are its flexible scheduling, its various conference room options, its proximity to the convention centre, and its probable proximity to wherever Mr. Ingram lives. Again, I would like to check if anyone in here could create a simple poll of some sorts, to gauge attendance of this viewing.

  17. !bcbronies Just to sum up the details of the current plan: @thepuzzldpirate is Reserving one of the 60-person conference rooms at the Vancouver Library. We're interested in hearing about what kind of turnout we can expect, so if anyone can make a poll so we can get a good number, that would be appreciated. To avoid conflict with Fan Expo scheduling, we're currently aiming for a viewing on the night of Saturday the 21st. Since the con ends that day at 7PM, this will likely start at 8PM. Once Fan Expo has a schedule up, we may reschedule for some time in the early afternoon, though some people may need to sacrifice seeing some panels to meet for this this finale. We'll discuss that when the time arrives. For now, though, tentative 8PM. We are trying to contact Daniel Ingram regarding his schedule, as he's shown interest. We will gladly rearrange this based on his schedule if need be.

  18. @echron1000 cool.

Monday, 09-Apr-12 04:49:22 UTC from web in context
  19. @mcbrony !bcbronies If you have a way of starting up a poll, go for it, just to get the numbers, but I'll bet there's going to be pretty big interest. And if not, more hangout time with Daniel for the rest of us.

Monday, 09-Apr-12 04:36:34 UTC from web in context
  20. @echron1000 !bcbronies For the reasons we've explained several times. Closer to the convention centre. Closer to Daniel. More flexible scheduling. More room options. Better accommodations. Were you talking to him over Facebook?

Monday, 09-Apr-12 03:53:31 UTC from web in context
  21. @echron1000 !bcbronies Then I think it's safer to go for the library. Did you get anything from Ingram regarding his schedule? @thepuzzldpirate Does the library also need a week's notice before rental, or is it more or less than Metrotown?

Monday, 09-Apr-12 02:50:23 UTC from web in context
  22. @thepuzzldpirate There's no guarantee that he will. Did you talk to him on Twitter?

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 21:13:33 UTC from web in context
  23. @thepuzzldpirate !bcbronies Though, this all does depend on the scheduling still. If nothing that great is going on between like 12 and 1:30, we could totally set it up for a lunchtime thing. People might need to sacrifice attending a panel or two though, which is why until the schedule's posted, I think planning it for after everything is the best tentative schedule.

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 19:54:32 UTC from web in context
  24. @thepuzzldpirate !bcbronies I wasn't talking about catching it live. As I've been saying, I've been trying to plan this for after the convention's done for the day, so as to avoid scheduling conflicts. Unfortunately, the team running Fan Expo still doesn't have the schedule up, meaning it's harder for us to plan our stuff around it.

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 19:39:45 UTC from web in context
  25. @thepuzzldpirate !bcbronies If I'm not mistaken, it's like a 20-minute walk from the convention centre. I am a bit concerned about the tight timing for the islanders afterwards, though. How far away is wherever the ferry terminal is?

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 19:28:49 UTC from web in context
  26. !bcbronies I've got to work on this project so I probably can't help plan for most of the rest of the day, but see what we can figure out regarding getting Daniel in on this and make sure all planning is done with Fan Expo in mind.

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 19:24:00 UTC from web in context
  27. @thepuzzldpirate Conversely, actually, I use Facebook much more than Twitter (which I can hardly function on). I told him the tentative plan (planning around Fan Expo) is to use one of the library's conference rooms and meet around 8:00 on the Saturday, though I said that if another time would be better, let any of us know over FB, Twitter, or here.

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 19:13:33 UTC from web in context
  28. @echron1000 !bcbronies Also it's closer, has better scheduling options, is more convenient for Daniel Ingram, and we'd be able to expand to a bigger room if need be.

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 19:10:03 UTC from web in context
  29. !bcbronies Also, how would be the best way to get a hold of Daniel regarding this thing's schedule? I'll volunteer to be our representative if someone can provide a link. If @tesla500 can bring a projector, that would save us a good $100 from the library costs and I'd still be able to make the downpayment beforehand if everyone can bring 5-10 bucks when they come. If I've got the right library in mind, it might be easier than going all the way to Metrotown, and also more convenient for Mr. Ingram. But again it depends on the time the library's available.

Sunday, 08-Apr-12 18:56:39 UTC from web in context
  30. @echron1000 I hope you can cool of, and I again apologize for how poorly the laser tag went. RDNet suddenly stopped giving me updates that week, so I couldn't help it. @thepuzzldpirate !bcbronies Is this the big ol' coliseum Vancouver Library? How do you book rooms, is it online? What hours is it available? How big's the space? Is the internet any good? (Sorry about the barrage of questions)
