@tenmihara Ha, I got a Ferrothorn on my secondary team, having a nature that lowers speed. Trying to get an Iron Ball to make Gyro Ball stronger.

@pinhooves Ferrothorn likes Leftovers. He's a great tactical Pokemon, with two decent offensive options in Power Whip and Gyro Ball. As it happens, mine is a Relaxed nature (Def up, speed down)

@tenmihara Can't read Japanese, but mine lowers Speed for Special Defense. Power Whip, Iron Head, Curse and Gyro Ball are it's moves.

@pinhooves Next to Gyro Ball, Iron Head is pointless, especially when its greatest asset is the flinch chance, which only works if you hit first (which Ferrothorn never will). I'd recommend a utility move like Thunder Wave

@pinhooves If you're also using curse, then there's really 0 reason to use Iron Head. Thunder Wave would lower the power of your own Gyro Ball, but it gives ferrothorn something to hamper the other team so that other Pokemon can have a better chance against certain opponents

@tenmihara Oh, Ferrothorn is on my secondary. My Primary has Samurott, Scrafty, Reuniclus, Archeops, Galvantula, and Chandelure. (I'm more used to the Japanese names)

@pinhooves No, I was asking abotu the primary, just mixed up which one Ferrothorn was on. I don't use any specific combination, but if I had to pick my favourite Gen V players; Ferrorthorn (Bardiche), Chandelure (Willow; those two go great with each other), Haxorus (Garmr), Volcarona (Pele), Excadrill (Simon; with a Tyranitar lead, he's unstoppable >3) and Bisharp (Mordred)
