  1. !centralflbronies Okay, so after some (not so deep) thinking, I think it would be a good idea to start a news blog. This way, we can post meet up info, future planning, photos, etc. for the people who are not on Facebook or RDnetwork. I've never blogged before, so I'd need some help with that. Anyone got any suggestions on blog services? The only one I have any experience with at all is wordpress, but if there are better options out there, please let me know.

    1. @wollffey I'm not in your group, but I've always found Tumblr to be pretty easy to use and nicely flexible.

      1. @ceruleanspark I don't like the way Tumbler handles comments. It's too much like twitter for my tastes. :P

        1. @wollffey Tumblr kind of...doesn't handle comments. Posterous is quite good, and has proper commenting, but the interface is a little weird.

          1. @ceruleanspark Never heard of it. Like I said, I've seen what wordpress can do, and I know people who have experience with it, but if there are any that work better (i.e. give me pros and cons of both wordpress and whatever service is suggested) then I'll go with that.

            1. @wollffey If you've got people with Wordpress experience, that's definitely the best choice. It's probably the most powerful blog framework around. Everything else sacrifices power for ease of use, but if you've already got people who can use a wordpress well, you should definitely stick with it.

              1. @ceruleanspark Ah. Okay. I've seen the publishing interface and holy hell it's complicated, but the end results are so pretty that I get distracted by the OOH SHINEY aspect. It's almost like a scaled down version of Dreamweaver (which I have only a tiny bit of experience with).

    2. @wollffey I use blogspot. There are a lot of great blogs hosted by blogspot, and its really easy to use. So.... go with that.

      1. @princessgryph Cool. Thanks. Since I'm suddenly bogged down with real work, it'll have to wait until I have some time to breathe. But, I'll do this eventually.
