@thatonepony Didn't Velvet punch her in the face?
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:02:15 UTC from TTYtter-
@ceruleanspark "You've lost NOTHING!"
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:03:04 UTC from web-
@tenmihara Comparing Littlepip to Velvet, Littlepip would be entirely justified in doing the same to her.
-
@ceruleanspark I think Calamity gave Littlepip one too XD What goes around, comes around

@tenmihara @thatonepony VELVET. CLENCH THOSE TEETH.
-
@ceruleanspark And he makes Gurren Lagann references! You sir, are fantastic
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:10:21 UTC from web-
@tenmihara You must be at least as fantastic for getting them. You're the first pony I've actually been able to discuss FO:E with . Everyone I know hates the idea and won't touch it with a bargepole.
-
@ceruleanspark It's hugely worthwhile to discuss, especially considering the complexity of it XD

@ceruleanspark @tenmihara @thatonepony You're talking about Fallout: Equestria. I'd read that, but it's like 30 something chapters. D:
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:03:17 UTC from web-
@princesstwilightsparkle Read it! It's the most amazing piece of Pony fiction ever! Then again, I can only speak abotu the quality of the author and her writing. Whether you'd like it or not is a matter of taste, and I don't know what you like =P

@thatonepony Only two and a half hours? It took me four hours to get through Chapter 37 just once lol

@thatonepony Wanna hear my theory about what's gonna happen to Littlepip?
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:20:25 UTC from web -
@thatonepony Please dive in whever you feel like!
-
@thatonepony Basically I have this (admittedly, far fetched) theory that Littlepip is going to complete the transition into Alicorn. With the Goddess/Trixie gone, her soul and mind would remain independant. Like I said, far fetched @_@ I only base this on the fact that (according to Helpinghoof's assistant) she's already more than halfway through the transition due to her massive Taint exposure
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:30:28 UTC from web-
@tenmihara Well, it's not like KKat to waste a setup like that, I guess. I think the Alicorns losing their mind was due to the way the goddess made them, rather than any intrinsic property of Alicorns.
-
@ceruleanspark I think it's a possibility simply because Littlepip is growing more and more distraught over all the ponies she can't save, not to mention all the deaths she's (directly or indirectly) responsible for. She might just do it deliberately, given how much worse things have gotten with the Enclaves arrival.
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:36:37 UTC from web-
@tenmihara Is KKat done with "Littlepip can't do magic other than telekinetics" now, do you think?
-
@ceruleanspark Ooh, good question. Considering she mercy killed that Enclave officer with the blood dagger, it's possible. However, I don't think she'll use any other spell willingly except in desperation (She did say she'd rather be a one trick pony that use a spell like that)
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:40:06 UTC from web-
@tenmihara I was just thinking that her becoming an alicorn sort-of ties in with it. The Alicorns are also specialised, after all.
-
@ceruleanspark You would require awfully powerful Telekinesis to move the Sun and Moon =O
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:48:20 UTC from web-
@tenmihara It's certainly a thought. We all take it for granted that she just HAS powerful TK. It makes sense that she'd have it for a reason beyond "she's a unicorn"
-
@tenmihara Holy Crap my theory suddenly has more merit than I could put into it on my own =O
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:51:21 UTC from web
-
-
-
@tenmihara Plus, I think Kkat has more to say about Littlepip's inexplicable continued belief in Luna and Celestia's divinity.
-
@tenmihara however, Littlepip's problem with spells was more a disability than a deliberate refusal to learn. The only reason she picked up the Blood weapons was because the Black Book forced it into her mind
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:45:46 UTC from web-
@tenmihara She's got like...spell dyslexia or something.
-
-
-
-
@tenmihara But there's also an inherent risk that she could end up just like Red Eye or the Goddess if she does make that choice, which (if she maintains a good enough portion of her rationality) she will see as a possibility, deterring her from that choice. Also, she complains about how she feels more and more alien in her own body as the Taint gets worse.

-
@thatonepony Never heard of dysgraphia before, so I wouldn't have guessed that XD. Description seems apt though. Also, the final rank of her 'Might Telekinesis' Perk was literally called Celestia Tier =O
Monday, 12-Sep-11 08:52:36 UTC from web -
@thatonepony As a dyslexic (amongst other things), I feel that those definitions aren't accurate, but your point still stands. It's an action disorder, not an acquisition disorder.
-
@thatonepony Yeah. I should have said "that" definition, rather than those. With a unicorn's magic being more akin to a motor skill, perhaps the most analogous disorder is actually dyspraxia?
-
@thatonepony I don't see it as a Mary Sue trait if the progression is natural. however, it remains simply a theory until Kkat does something. What kind of theories do you have milling about in your brain? (Also, did everypony else here figure the Pipleg-Pink Cloud thing was a given?)
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:03:29 UTC from web-
@tenmihara I dunno. I thought it was too obvious. I kind of want to know how the fusion works. Is it just fused to the skin, or her whole nervous system?
-
@ceruleanspark Obvious I think it may have been. As for how it works; Necromancy is a tricky breed of magic. Might as well be asking why something so terrible and deadly was that colour of pink
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:17:41 UTC from web-
@tenmihara What if Steelhooves isn't dead? We don't know how pink-cloud object-fusion works. What if it's in some way analagous to the creation of a soul-jar?
-
@ceruleanspark sad to say that I'm sure he's been killed off for real. Decapitation had the same effect on every other Canterlot ghoul, and even Littlepip acknowledged it
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:21:59 UTC from web
-
-
-
-
-
@thatonepony It essentially manifests itself as difficulty coordinating complex movements. Issues with proprioception, if you're familliar with the term. It also impacts fine motor control.
-
@thatonepony Thing is, aside from Death being rather obviously permanent in the story, Littlepip has a lot of very good reasons to hate herself. She is a good pony, but that alone doesn't wash her hooves of all the blood on them, sadly but truely
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:15:50 UTC from web-
@tenmihara Is Rarity dead, do you think? What about the Zebra in the black book?
-
@ceruleanspark Rarity is quite dead; they found her body in Fluttershy's office (the one with the hoof fused to the window, carrying the Fluttershy statuette) As for her soul, whatever part she kept for herself would likely have gone the same way as any other dead pony. The rest of it is split up into the Statuettes, but also carries the reflection of the soulds of the other ponies of Harmony. Not really sure what impact that would have @_@ however, considering the way a fragment of Twilight's soul took control of that one Super Alicorn...
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:20:43 UTC from web-
@tenmihara One 47th of Rarity died with her body. That's about 2% That's arguably less dead than Littlepip is at this point.
-
@ceruleanspark One 43rd, but that's just fractions XD I honestly don't know how Littlepip will fare, especially with what happened to Ditzy, who was one of the continual sources of hope for her as a beacon of kindness
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:30:30 UTC from web-
@tenmihara We don't know that Ditzy is dead yet. She "exploded". That could be her getting scattered across the landscape, or it could be some kind of nuclear love powered sonic rainboom.
-
@ceruleanspark I wouldn't put it past Kkat, considering everything else in chapter 39. The only thing Ditzy really has potentially protecting her is being a candidate for the Element of Laughter.
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:36:28 UTC from web-
@tenmihara Did KKat do anything in particular with Ditzy's new ability to shed radiation in bursts? She could have done that to detonate the missiles, or kick her ghoul-regenerative abilities into overdrive to survive an explosion, assuming she's not doing a rainboom.
-
@ceruleanspark Ditzy as a glowing one does make her more powerful, but like I said, I wouldn't put it past Kkat, she was really nasty in 39
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:42:40 UTC from web-
@tenmihara @thatonepony How long before Homage dies? 1 chapter? 2?
-
@ceruleanspark Exactly my point. If Ditzy Doo isn't safe, nopony is. The only reason she might have a chance is because she was deemed a potential for the Element of Laughter
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:47:54 UTC from web-
@tenmihara KKat has been foreshadowing "bad things are gonna happen to Homage" for a while. This Ditzy Doo thing came kind of out of nowhere.
-
@ceruleanspark I suppose so. She's still out there fighting the good fight, but that's unfortunately putting her in a position to be a huge target for the ENclave, again only potentially protected (in terms of story mechanics) by her dreadful importance to an eventual happy ending
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:53:46 UTC from web-
@tenmihara >He still thinks anypony is getting a happy ending. I'm calling Calamity getting disintigrated by an Enclave energy weapon because they don't have access to Velvet's shield spell anymore.
-
@ceruleanspark No thinking, only hoping. After everything the cast, not to mention Equestria itself, has been through, they deserve it and then some
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:57:11 UTC from web-
@tenmihara The story so far hasn't exactly been chock full of people getting what they deserve, has it? I think the Gardens of Equestria is a red herring.
-
@ceruleanspark When has anything in this story been a Red Herring? Kkat doesn't work that way, at least I hope she wouldn't be THAT cruel

@tenmihara @thatonepony Am I the only one who thought the Arbu arc was COMPLETELY POINTLESS aside from the "Ha! Ha! I'm screwing over Littlepip again!" aspect.
-
-
@thatonepony I spent a large part of my primary school career being assesed by various kinds of therapists. First I was dyslexic, then I was dyspraxic as well. Then they started testing for aspergers and me and my family just gave up on the entire enterprise. It was determined that I was coping well enough without having all these potentially damning labels on my file.
-
@thatonepony We'd gone back and forth so many times, and getting the diagnoses wasn't helping any because nobody in the school system knew how to deal with the disorders in the first place. Now I just do my best to cope on my own. My one "pain" is that I'll never be able to draw, no matter how badly I want to. I can't put into words how frustrating it is to want to create but to be physically incapable of willing myself to do it, though I suspect you know the feeling pretty intimately, just in a different area.
-
@thatonepony "No more delays. An hour could have made all the difference. If we'd left an hour earlier, we could have saved all of them. An hour later and we'd have saved no one." Littlepip has no illusions about what luck is an isn't a factor in.
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:23:23 UTC from web -
@thatonepony I never tried to sculpt or play music, but I suspect I'd encounter the same frustration. My girlfriend doesn't understand why I get so mad that she takes her ability to draw for granted and talks it down all the time. I get so mad sometimes. *hugs* However: For someone with an as-yet undiagnosed neurological disorder, I'm doing pretty well. I never thought I'd be IT manager for a multi million pound company, but here I am.
-
@thatonepony I don't disagree that she places TOO much blame on herself, but it's not something that can be fixed just like that.
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:29:16 UTC from web -
@thatonepony I presume he had a pulse before? He took an armour piercing sniper round through his body, lengthwise and recovered. I'm not convinced "signs of death" are accurate where he's concerned. Besides which, if his soul had transmigrated into his armor, his body probably could still die. The thing that pokes holes in this specific theory is that the armor still took damage. Soul Jars are supposed to be borderline indestructible.
-
@thatonepony If the armor had become a soul jar through whatever proxy process the pink-cloud enabled he wouldn't need his nervous system in the same way that that zebra soul bonded to the black book doesn't. But really, I'm just in denial. I didn't want him to die still convinced he was a bad pony. I wanted him to find peace.
-
@thatonepony Couldn't have said it better myself.
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:49:24 UTC from web -
@thatonepony @tenmihara A main character has yet to be disintegrated. That's been foreshadowed pretty heavily lately (I previously thought it'd be Steelhooves).
-
@thatonepony Any lines inparticular? I was expecting lots of bad things, but not Ditzy Doo specifically
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:56:06 UTC from web -
@thatonepony I imagine Homage would have no complaints about sex with an Alicorn, save maybe that a) it isn't the same Littlepip she first fell in love with and b) she wouldn't be the big pony in the relationship anymore XD
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:58:00 UTC from web -
@thatonepony Oo Nicely done. However, again relying on hope, I think Xenith would have gotten Silver Bell, and maybe the other children, out somehow
Monday, 12-Sep-11 09:59:07 UTC from web -
@thatonepony Stable 2. Gawd sending Blackwing and his talons. They may not have used Junction R=7 as much as they intended, but that's only because they had more important murdock to do. That one could also still have further repercussions if you consider what Steelhooves said abotu 'rearranging local power structure'
