    A few moments after it'd gone from my view, the internal lights on my car came back on and I was able to start the engine and everyhing again. I was able to turn my iPod back on and the tape and stereo started working properly again. I would chalk it up to hallucination, but the iPod's "powered-on hours" count was reset to 0, and the unexpected voltage event WAS logged on my car's fault-register and was picked up at MOT.
