Hmm well not to but in on anything, but personally I've always seen the iPad as a kinda useless (for me anyway). In fact the only apple product I do like is the iPod. I've never actually got the whole pad thing in general, I use the crap out of my smart phone and it can do everything a pad can do plus fit in my pocket. As for what OS i run, I have a windows phone (mangoes are healthier than ice cream haha). I know i'm kinda jumpin in here, but i love a good tech debate

@nimbusbuster I was adamant that the iPad was utterly useless. Until I bought one. Now I use it daily. I already had a smartphone, but the iPad form-factor is much better for what I want to do with it. (Actual work)

@nimbusbuster iPads are great for porn and youtube, really that's all they can do better than iPods.
-
@nimbusbuster I agree. I use the balls out of my Ipod classic, but it's other products never really appealed to me.
-
@ceruleanspark i don't know, I just can't justify having a separate device which only advantage is a larger screen. As for when I need to work, there's no way anything other than a high end lab top or solid desk top can handle it. So most of the time my mobile computing needs boil down to emails and reading fanfiction (a relatively new activity haha)

@koen The iPad basically does everything the iPod does better. It's just up to you whether or not you see those improvements as worth the extra money. The bigger screen makes everything worlds easier and changes the interaction model around a lot in a bunch of subtle ways.
-
@nimbusbuster my iPad replaced my netbook for me, basically. I do a lot of note taking and remote administration. (and web browsing/net-radio/writing fanfiction/posting to RDN/reading reddit, etc) These are things the iPad is great for, compared to carrying a real machine around.

@ceruleanspark Which is why I want a tablet. My 13 pound laptop(5896.7g) is a pain in the mangoes to carry everywhere I go.
-
@theonepony I'm just trying to make sure you get the right one for what you want. I ballsed it up the first time and was out $500 for a tablet that was useless to me.
-
@ceruleanspark I want the Android and I want the keyboard. I'm just going to wait until the Prime drops in December.
-
@koen how did this happen? D:
-
@koen I clicked your name and saw it
