      @lightingracer I can't link very easily at the moment, but you might want to look into a refurbished one from Microcenter if you don't need the latest graphics and gaming.

          @lightingracer Then a refurb works perfect. I dunno what they have at the moment, but I got a deal on a desktop for someone in my family with the same needs awhile back.

                  @lightingracer A netbook? HP makes a good one, the mini 210, I think. Don't know that the damage would be, but HP and Dell make good stuff. I've seen so many Sonys break and end up with a $400+ repair bill.
