I want to say it's hilarious that a joke is getting misunderstood so hard that people are being told to take caution when it shows up, but if it's anything like how some people took the everyone-will-join-the-herd thing seriously, there might be some truth behind that news report. And if so, that's very not good.

@lilytheamazingfaintingpony It's a little sad how internet news pretty much makes news magazines irrelevant. I mean sure. Nintendo Power is biased, but fun. But then if I want the actual info, then I'll get it faster and for only the cost of a few inobtrusive ads if I hit up GoNintendo or something.

@colfax Ah yes. hehe. ^^ Mine had a nasty fall or something. It was well made, but broken during careless moving or something. It was from the mid-80s though so after 15 or so years, it was bound to break. T_T

@retl @retl While I don't know Ninendo Power very well, as a whole I blame news magazines themselves. Same situation as in the link you posted: no fact checking, no research and no quality control save on aesthetics. I can get my biased but fun content everywhere. Slower news providers should capitalize on their slowness and bring me the significance to the big picture, factually correct and precise information. As an example: I don't buy Linux Format for the apple- and microsoft-bashing. I get that as well, because bias and all, but I really buy the magazine because it time and again has shown me how to do stuff on my computer when various linux forums didn't help. Actually, it doesn't do that, I should stop buying it...
