            @macpony55 Yes hehe, my father used to be paranoid about us sitting too close to the old CRT TV back in the 80s. xD

               @jinny The tube itself has been just sitting unpowerd for over 2 years in my closet so I'm sure it's been fully discharged

                  @macpony55 Yes hehe, hopefully that's the case. Those old CRTs are a pain in the flank, about electrocution hazard. >_>

                     @jinny That would be the flyback transformer that causes it to have that hazard, once I figure out which of the 20 unlabeled pins on the bottom is the input i'll be able to start using it http://ur1.ca/6b63f

                     @jinny I still use CRT. They have better image than LCDs. Never been ever close to danger with one, even when I had one open, and had to touch it near the flyback regularly to make it work.

                        @nerthos Hehe I still use CRT TVs, but all my laptops are LCD. ;) CRT Laptops would be pretty heavy. xD

                           @jinny Heh, I only have a netbook as far as portable devices go. LCDs are good for portable things and using little space, but if you have enough space to place a CRT, is definetly worth it.

                  @macpony55 I should use some of the pieces I have lying around in the storage room. Maybe attaching a flyback to power the blade of my katana, making it an awesome weapon of home protection.
