@mushi I hope this is your suggestion as a topic, because I'm not completely sure how it would fall under any of mine.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:38:46 UTC from web-
@fallinwinter i dont know too XD! if the pic can become a topic hehehehe
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:40:01 UTC from web-
@mushi I'm not a competitive battler like my friends, so I'll just start on the topic of pokemon itself. Ash is a loser.

@fallinwinter I can teach you! I taugh @mushi =D

@tenmihara ten's school for beginers
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:42:50 UTC from web -
@tenmihara It's okay. I know some of the ideas and concepts because I used to play the smogon simulator, just never felt like taking time to get into it much. Thanks for the offer.

@fallinwinter mawile is not competitive, but is very cool!
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:42:26 UTC from web-
@mushi Agreed; Next to Absol she was a fav from Gen III
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:43:05 UTC from web-
@tenmihara I think Gen III was my favorite one.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:43:32 UTC from web-
@fallinwinter At present I have a lot of love for Gen V. It's the best generation since II imo
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:45:40 UTC from web -
@fallinwinter I dunno.. Gen II was pretty good, then again, that's the one I started on, on I've got a bit of a bias.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:45:46 UTC from web-
@eaglehooves @tenmihara I started with Gen I, but that was when I was like 5-6 so it didn't stick with me as much. I played the most out of Gen. III. Gen II was nice because of the 16 badges and the improvements to Gen. V were nice, though I never did beat that one.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:47:44 UTC from web-
@fallinwinter I never beat Gen V either. I have White, but I don't have a DS, so I don't get to play too often.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:49:06 UTC from web-
@eaglehooves I had Black version, but I tried beating it multiple times and just couldn't push myself to finish it.

@fallinwinter I like that it offered a real fresh start; probably the best generation since the first for newcomers. As well, the Gen II remakes rekindled my love for that Gen, so yeah

@tenmihara I enjoyed HG and SS because it was the first game where I really tried to train my whole team which made the game a lot longer for me. Also the Pokewalker which I took everywhere. The fifth gen while I didn't like it that much, did make a lot of graphical improvements though I wish they kept the auto run button. It's also nice that your character actually looked old enough to be handing out their phone numbers to strangers.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:52:43 UTC from web-
@fallinwinter aaaw man, the auto run D=
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:54:26 UTC from web -
@fallinwinter Yes; Heartgold and Soulsilver are presently the peak of the Pokemon games. Black and white take a close second for their graphical improvements, fresh start feeling and innovations in gameplay

@fallinwinter @mushi @eaglehooves The best thing about Generation IV was the fact that they finally separated physical vs special attacks independently from type. Nerfed a few Pokemon but made most of them better able to use their stats effectively. As for Shedinja, he has 5 weaknesses, all of which at autokills, and 12 immunities. Finicky, but an interesting curve ball to throw at someone
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:54:45 UTC from web-
@tenmihara I understand how that's a good thing for you guys, but since competitive battling's not my thing, it wasn't as big a deal. I'm still crossing my fingers for a full on Pokemon-like Wii game. Not that "dark pokemon" nonsense.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:59:00 UTC from web -
@tenmihara That was nice. I actually skipped Gen IV though. I considered it, but looking over my sister's shoulder I just wasn't feeling it. Gen V has the better mechanics and it looks nicer.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:59:50 UTC from web-
@eaglehooves Very much so, although Platinum took care of a lot of the sluggishness that Diamond and Pearl suffered from

@tenmihara i dont like absol too much. I had curiosity to have a shedinja, i like its style
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:49:50 UTC from web-
@mushi Probably one of the hardest Pokemon to use effectively in competition, but amazingly effective for Nuzlocke challenges, if you know what you're doing

@fallinwinter mudkip is cooler
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:50:02 UTC from web-
@mushi Nah, I like my shiny starter Treecko better. It took an entire day of soft resetting for that thing.
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:54:29 UTC from web-
@fallinwinter wow! a shiny starter! i think it worthed, i remember it took me 2 days to catch lugia and no shiny (my only shiny is a tangela i got in the victory road)
Thursday, 15-Dec-11 00:55:41 UTC from web-
@mushi Yup, it was soooo worth it. In my Sapphire version, the one I actually played a lot, I found a blue voltorb in New Mauville. I had the blue and orange treecko in Ruby.
