          1. @tenmihara He was really good as Ebenezer Scrooge in the 2009 A Christmas Carol as well, no Alistair Sim, but still damn good all the same :)

                  1. @tenmihara Sorry to hear that :( It is a really great version. I don't classify it in the same vein of Christmas Carol adaptation of Alistair Sim's, it was live action but a lot more "child like" what with the Muppets etc, where as "Scrooge" was more traditional.

                      1. @tenmihara True :P Plus Michael Caine (sp) made an excellent Scrooge, better than Jim Carrey, but not quite as good as Sim. (Got a lot of Alister Sim's Scrooge, you may have noticed xD)

                          1. @colfax I saw that version once, I did rather like it, but for me it can't touch Alister Sim's. It's odd, I only discovered that film in recent years but I feel like I have tons of nostalgia for it.

                          1. @tenmihara Which one do you mean, Muppet Christmas Carol or Scrooge? Just curious. :)

                              1. @tenmihara Ah, right. :) It is, definitley the best traditional adaptation for sure. (I know Muppet Christmas Carol followed the story closely, moreso than one would expect, but it wasn't traditional if you take my meaning, but it's still on the same level as Sim's for me regardless.)

                                  1. @tenmihara Indeed :) I do love Mickey's Christmas Carol as well, but I wish those characters had gotten the feature length treatment rather than a short, it felt a bit rushed in areas, but I love it nonetheless as it was the first version of A Christmas Carol that I ever saw.
