As for Assassin's Creed, I got the first game in Morrisons for £10 out of pure curiosity and having wanted to own and play a game in the series for several years. I really loved it at the time (in spite of some niggles) but in retrospect it wasn't as great as I had initially thought, in terms of its story, gameplay etc when compared to the ones that followed it. But I've just become totally absorbed in the story of these games, and the universe in general. (Even the lore surrounding Altair to some extent, and he's a boring character carried by the world around him) and it's definitley a series I'll be speaking about for years to come.
