  1. The Cabal has arrived.

    1. @wiipony Yes. This man is legendary. Besides his one pony for every american policy, he took the time during his concluding address to turn a man gay with magic sprinkle dust. More politicians should carry themselves this way.

    2. @wiipony I thought his most recent speech was funny, although the ending was rather blasphemous to my religion.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:39:09 UTC from web
      1. @xtux345 Thankfully, the truly devout know how to forgive such trespasses, yes?

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:45:20 UTC from web
        1. @tenmihara Well, I'll forgive him this time, but if he keeps it up...also, you have to remember that according to my religion (Christianity) he is insulting the God of the universe (equivalent to how Lauren Faust is to the MLP universe), which is not something to be taken lightly.

          1. @xtux345 I'd say I'm fairly well versed in human religions. And again, to err is human, to forgive divine. So, I would think that God, being divine, would be in the best position to be forgiving, and always will be. As for how seriously it's being taken, would seriously do you really take a man with a boot on his head?

            1. @tenmihara how seriously would you

              1. @tenmihara @xtux345 Noting this conversation: I'm starting to see a trend. I'm not entirely sure I agree with the whole "tolerance" aspect of mainstream religion.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:56:14 UTC from web
                1. @terminalhunter Then perhaps it's a good thing I'm not part of any religion at all.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:57:38 UTC from web
                  1. @tenmihara I waver between atheism and pantheism for these reasons. I hate the institution, not the idea. Call me anti-establishment or what have you.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:58:43 UTC from web
                2. @terminalhunter There are two definitions of "tolerance". The mainstream one seems to mean that you're only tolerant if you outright support something, while being neutral on the subject (or even against but in a resigned sort of matter) means intolerant. The original meaning of "Tolerance" means that while one may not agree with other's views and may be against them, you are still friendly with them and do no harm to them.

                  1. @xtux345 I'm just a bit wary that when I mention mixing ponies and politics, the issue of abortion pops up.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:04:36 UTC from web
                    1. @terminalhunter That was an odd tangent, wasn't it?

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:05:38 UTC from web
                    2. @terminalhunter True. I think that while we cannot actually create a political party of our own, we can infiltrate pre-existing ones and shape them however we wish.

                      1. @xtux345 I think it'd be easy enough to form a PAC, I saw a crochet fluttershy go for $300+ at auction, I assume there's enough disposable income floating around. Maybe a full on 'party' electing candidates for president might be a bit lofty of an ambition.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:09:00 UTC from web
                        1. @terminalhunter I guess you guys could form a PAC...can't help you guys 'cause I live in Canada, sorry

                          1. @xtux345 Ah, well thanks for the support anyhow. Maybe we can consolidate into some world-wide committee at a later point. Afraid I'm not familiar with cave story, you'll have to fill me in.

                            1. @terminalhunter Cave Story is a classic 2D platformer. Original made by this Japanese guy who goes by Studio Pixel and released online for free, Cave Story is arguably the most beloved and famous indie games of all time, a true masterpiece. You can find it at http://www.cavestory.org/ in the downloads section, although you have to apply a patch to translate it to english. There's also a steam version that is NOT free.

                              1. @xtux345 I will have to put some time aside to play this. Some time after I finish this rap/poem/piece of prose set to music.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:21:01 UTC from web
                                1. @terminalhunter Trust me, you will not regret it. Speaking of which, it's still one of the few games that needs a MLP crossover. Get on it, fellow bronies!

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:23:18 UTC from web
                                  1. @xtux345 Sorry, currently working on the Harvest Moon/MLP crossover. I might do that one next, however.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:24:11 UTC from web
                                    1. @terminalhunter You work on crossovers? Sweet!

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:25:04 UTC from web
                                    2. @terminalhunter Also, one of my future projects is a MLP crossover with my current indie game project, =P

                                      1. @xtux345 Fun, although I've been working on any and all game designs these past few years. It just so happens an MLP crossover requires my help. And it's mostly writing, this time. Yay dialogue trees.

            2. @tenmihara I occasionally read theology in my spare time, and my father is in training to eventually become a minister. Also, God does forgive, but we must ask him for that forgiveness which we seek.

              1. @xtux345 To tolerate, by itself, is to merely put up with something. Perhaps we should change to brony motto to Love and Acceptance.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 05:02:09 UTC from web
                1. @tenmihara True, but I think "tolerate" fits the motto better. We can "tolerate" haters, but we can't exactly "accept" their views without becoming hypocrites, right?

    3. @abigpony However, you must note that he's been promising that since 2008.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:40:11 UTC from web
    4. @abigpony afraid not.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:43:29 UTC from web
    5. @abigpony granted, he has tried for lesser positions, like the Mayor of Mercury.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:45:27 UTC from web
      1. @terminalhunter I'd vote for him

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:48:00 UTC from web
    6. @abigpony yahh [ it's a ok size at least it's not just 4 Bronies attend one meetup ] .. so far the biggest RSVP'ed meetup is the Brony meetup on February of 49 Bronies

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:47:59 UTC from web
    7. @abigpony the main point is that he's at least trying. Can't fault him for actively campaigning. Perhaps enough pressure from other campaigns can convince the bigger candidates that this is a completely serious issue with serious ramifications should they not pursue it.

    8. Speaking of politics, anypony else feel like either creating the Pony Party or at least a pony PAC? @abigpony Yes, these ponies are serious business. I would think that most of the points made were legit.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:51:07 UTC from web
      1. @terminalhunter Hmmm...would it count as liberal or conservative? Also would it or would it not support abortion? Because if it did, I'd be out. Sorry.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:52:42 UTC from web
        1. @xtux345 I would assume our platform would be about love and tolerance. We wouldn't conform to the already ingrained notions of "conservative" and "liberal" because as you just demonstrated, it divides people.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:53:50 UTC from web
          1. @terminalhunter True. Still, I would like to know about whether or not it would support abortion, which is a grave sins.

    9. @abigpony we'll have to see when I go to the planning meetup for Bronystock meetup. [ Meetupception ]

    10. @abigpony I forgot the silly party with Chancellor Pudding Head was also running in this race, providing fierce competition between the Pony Party, Silly Party, and New Lunar Republic.

    12. @wiipony It takes skill to walk up to a podium and string together a bunch of buzz words into coherent sentences that attract the votes of your constituents.

Thursday, 12-Jan-12 04:59:48 UTC from web
    13. @wiipony It was a cheesy pun built on your politicians are actors post.
