  1. So, Windows 8 will look like a smartphone?

    1. @nerthos Their smartphones actually look and work better.

      1. @ceruleanspark @nerthos I would honestly agree, the software in Windows Phone 7 is great (used a friend's Nokia Lumia 800 earlier) and since the tablet esque interface is only optional I think it'll potentially be great!

        1. @leonkfox I feel like WP7 works better because it ISN'T optional. You're not switching between touch driven and mouse driven interfaces all the time.

        2. @leonkfox (note: I have actually used Windows 8, to back up this assertion)

          1. @ceruleanspark How/when did you get to use Windows 8, if I may ask? Not that I don't believe you, I'm just curious is all.

      2. @ceruleanspark It would be for me the end of more than a decade of being a Windows user, to start modifying old OS to support new hardware, or go to another platform.

        1. @nerthos How will it be? The smartphone esque interface isn't mandatory, I could see myself using it if I ever got a monitor with touch controls though, I really could.

          1. @leonkfox It looks so... social. Loke all that new stuff. It's the opposite of what I like.

            1. @nerthos I think it could make a nice change, considering all I mostly do on a PC is go on Twitter, RDN and the odd forum here and there as well as YouTube the simpler interface could be for the better for me personally.

              1. @leonkfox That's the problem I see in modern software. Everything is becoming more a phone than a working tool. That's why I'm using MSN 14 hrough a weird process instead of the new one.

                1. @nerthos Well, it isn't mandatory like I said, the more traditional Windows interface is there, as is the more streamlined smart phone esque one, I'm sure I'll be using both if I ever get a Windows 8 Machine + a touch responsive monitor.
