    Just gonna give my basic opinion about all this Derpy business, the best way to handle it would be to just ignore it and NOT get involved, whatever is gonna happen is gonna happen, just stay out of it and it won't escalate anymore. Even if the name is "officially" changed, we will still be free to refer to her however we want, so we won't really have even lost anything anyway.

                @sebastian1314 We will still be free to call Derpy/Ditzy whatever we want, and I think if it does help a few less people feel offended by it then that's all the better for the show

        @sebastian1314 well yeah, but we'll still have the knowledge that she was officially recognised, and almost certainly still have her as a noticeable background presence. the only think missing will be the actual name, and really, what's in a name when it comes to fan-content

            @sebastian1314 why not think of it more as a surprise, limited time only offer of fan appreciation by the show's creators? If nothing lasts forever then we can at least be happy it existed for a while
