  1. So I have a confession. Brace for it! I played the MW3 multiplayer free weekend today and enjoyed it. Thing is, I do find the COD games to be decently fun, but I also realize that they aren't particularly innovative. I'm debating whether or not to drop the $40 on the game, since playing 9,000 games on Nuketown in Black Ops has worn thin. My conflict is, despite having the money, I'm currently saving for PAX East in April, where I'll buy stuff there and at the concert I'm going to.

    1. @triscy personally I would advise against that. My friend bought the game when it first came out and the novelty of the new game wore off pretty quickly. I felt the same way with modern warfare 2, which was my last experience with that franchise

      1. @trister Thing is, I own MW2; it NEVER connects to any games. MW3 connects immediately. I'm still debating it, like I said; not sure if worth it. Gonna play it more over the weekend and see how I feel.

        1. @triscy yeah, pretty much everyone has hearded over to mw3 now. personally I don't think it's worth the price. maybe if you could pick it up second hand?

          1. @trister It's on a 33% off deal right now; it'd still be $60 if I get it after the deal. The COD games are content with keeping their prices forever; MW2 is still expensive as hell, and World at War is still $20, just like MW1.

            1. @triscy wow... I wouldn't go for that, but if you enjoy it then why not, see how you see after the weekend

              1. @trister I'm leaning towards neigh, but I sort of have a collector mentality; I have MW1 and 2, so I'm feeling "obligated" sort of to get the third game.
