      1. @scratch I found Reason to produce sick sounds but really difficult to start off with. Ah well, guess it's just getting the hang of it and keep on playing with the bass. Do you know any tips on build ups though? I got the ideas but making that delayed sort of "20% cooler..er...er...er...ererererer" type thing actually sound good is proving to be really difficult.

        1. @vibrantrain Yeah, the reason I said FL studio instead of, well, Reason, is because it does seem to be a bit more tuned toward people who have already been producing for awhile. But if you can get good at it, as opposed to one of the other programs, then you can essentially skip a step. As for the build ups, I mean just let the beat get faster and faster, and then I like to put a little 1-1.5 second pause and then you pull out the drop. Kinda hard to explain >.<

          1. @scratch Hey guise I saw something about music making in the public feed, so I'm going to jump in: use a lowpass filter and gradually increase the cutoff freq as you get closer to the build. (I usually apply this to a big string section, but you know...experiment!) Also, retrigger various drum samples just before the pause/drop. Etc.
