re-watching the series now I can see that the first episode is a terrible way to convert people... the first minute of that episode is just so girly. I'm a little surprised my past, non-brony self didn't just close youtube and walk away

@nerthos @mushi yeah, you have to get into the series before it really becomes good, though the first two eps are a good intro to the characters... I think the latest twilight episode would probably be a good one to show someone

@trister at my first episode, I was simply bored and watched as much of season 1 as I could in one night before I conked out. I was a brony by... Lets see... The 4th episode?

@techdisk42 yeah, I got through 5 episodes, one night, then up to episode 14 the next, then finished the series over the next couple of days, it was a rather fast acting process

@trister I almost did but since it's the "intro" episode I had already decided to stick it out until episode 3. I did skip "giggle at the ghostie" and never watched it until my second round of season 1.

@dmtactical aw man, i loved giggle at the ghosty, but it does help to stick out the intro eps, that's the problem with showing other people it, they aren't often watching because they are genuinely interested, so they aren't likely to give it a chance

@trister Wait the song came first. Anyway Steven Magnet was very difficult to endure but I made it. It's kind of like a bad pun. At first you hate them but then you learn to laugh at them because of how bad they are. And MLP is full of bad puns and it's great. Las Pegasus was the only part of "It's about time" that made me laugh out loud.
