@nerthos Man, there's a line in Moby Dick..."for a sleeping man, it was difficult to choose between such still, perfect days and such quiet, star-filled nights". That's a horrible misquote, but I knew what he meant when I read it--there is something very peaceful and satisfying, sometimes about being awake at night and sleeping during the day.

@patch There is something about the night, yes. We're, as humans, meant to be asleep at night. We're made for that. And that is because the night is intrinsecally peaceful, it is it's very nature. Without light, nothing disturbs our eyes, and with the rest of the world sleeping, we hear no sound. Only a few are awake, and on their own sneakily working their ways. There's also the hormones and stuff, but that has nothing of poetry xD

@nerthos Yeah, the video is a bit much for my own taste, but considering it was made by a dude on his home computer several years ago, I dig it. The song, however, I really like, especially on those late, solitary night watches.
