I don't normally ramble about serious topics on here, but I need to get something on my mind off of my chest after watching ITV News and this subject came up. Just seen Anders Behring Breivik on the news, about his trial for the massacre he commited in Norway last year. If it were up to me he'd be executed, to be quite frank, murdering 77 (I believe that was the number) people...you should go beyond deserving human rights when you commit a crime of that magnitude as far as I'm concerned. He can claim the victims were "non innocent" and put whatever spin he wants on it that he likes, whatever his political motive...he's a mass murderer and nothing more. He even said he'd "Do it again" why should we give him the courtesy of life when he clearly has no respect for other people's himself, children included.

@leonkfox I JUST watched that now on ITV news, As much as I detest the crime he has done, I actually believe any criminal regardless of the crime should speak their entire case in court, whether that be a kiddy fiddler or a slaughtering dictator. Sure the sentence should be death by hulk hogan, but nethertheless I want to hear this guys full story, much how someone can be fascinated by the mind of someone inconcievably evil like Adolf Hitler, its just the interest in how the human mind works

@leonkfox This line of thinking is exactly what Breivik wanted to achieve. No matter what you do, no matter who you are: you are a human being and therefore must not be stripped of your dignity. The moments people got treated as things are the worst moments in history and I won't risk becoming a monster for revenge.

@hakupony With all due respect, that comes off to me as being a tad self righteous. I don't mean you specifically, I mean in general, please don't take this personally. I mean no offence when I say this, but it just seems silly to consider someone worthy of dignity and life itself when he cares not for others himself. An eye for an eye, limb for a limb, that kind of thing.

@leonkfox "An eye for an eye leaves the world blind."

@bitshift If taken to the extreme then...well, yes, I suppose it would. But it should apply to a person's life, murder etc in my personal opinion, especially on this scale.
