@tinwhistle The issue has nothing to do with you- you've shared your passions with the world! The problem lies in them, and the best thing you could do is be a supportitive and trustworthy friend, making your judgementlessness plain. If you placate their fears of social backlash, they'll share their loves and interests and open their shells.

@tinwhistle I've never found it an easy task to simply tell someone how I feel, or what I think. Give me the correct friend and I can talk about just about anything I care to, however outside of that very, very exclusive zone, I short of go with the flow. Also, you don't seem all that intimidating to me, although I am something of a newbie here.

@tinwhistle If you get me started on a topic of interest, I'd probably voice my opinions, but I find that there are so little times that I actually find topics that I have solid opinions or standpoints on when speaking with acquaintances of mine for that side of me to ever really come out. I'm open on MSN or something if you want to speak about philosophy or something of the sort, I've always been interested in hearing others opinions on subject matters of interest to me.
