  1. HELLOITH! I AM HERE! I also stayed true to the floppy disk that brands my (oc's) flank and bought 3 "new" floppy drives. Ima wire them up tomorrow for music. I now have 6 FDD drives that can each play a diffrent part of a song. First song on the 6 list: Winter Wrap Up lesscut edition.

      1. @noirbatch not much other than the floppies. I haven't even heard what the "new" ones sound like. They could be good for high notes, or they could be midrange, or low. Or quiet. Or somehow produce wub, which would just make me confused.

      1. @foxgopher at the earliest the first 6 drive vid will be made by tomorrow night. Latest would be Monday night. I still have to find a way to set them up to sound good, cut up some wire to wire them to my arduino and screw with some way to ground it all, and remake a midi file to play on them. Once they are set up physically, the floppies only need a midi file to do their thing on demand, I can just unplug the power when I'm not using them and leave them set up.

        1. @techdisk42 I didn't understand any of that. :)

          1. @foxgopher Simply put: I have to plug the drives into my computer (way harder than it sounds), place them so they sound right (cardboard box = amplifier), and make the music they play. Might take a few hours before I'm anywhere near ready to post a vid.

              1. @foxgopher trust me, so do I. That feeling when your macgyvered octopus of wires, circuitboards, and paperclips somehow manages not to blow up, but then proceeds to play pony music... It's just an amazing thing. I highly recommend it!

                  1. @foxgopher he's a little butthead because sometimes he will rub on my bare legs, all sweet, and then he will nip me. In the most random places, too. Like my knee or my ankle.

                  1. @foxgopher lol, its pretty simple. The complicated part is how the wires are in such a small place and move around accidentally too much. It causes much pain.

                      1. @foxgopher not at all, actually. I have the power unplugged when I'm working on it.
