          @stumperman I still like Discord more than Chrysalis. Discord changes reality, and his only downfall was his arrogance in assuming he no longer needed to monitor his defeated adversaries. Chrysalis only has an edge as a villain because she has minions, and they show a scene in which she bests Celestia in magic prowess. Did I mention Discord alters reality, and is a smartass?

              @stumperman the bigger picture is that he didn't bother checking in on them, and just let twilight do whatever because he was sure the change would be permanent. If he bothered checking them out at any time during the rallying scenes, he could have altered reality in a such a way to prevent them from reaching him or achieving their goals. I mean he should have noticed when they got back and they had their full color, but hey guess what the show was written for children.
