    1. @supercammy That's pretty crazy, man.

    2. @supercammy It's understandable that schools try to connect to what is happening in these days and it is understandable that they want money. But what you just told is overkill...

    3. @supercammy Seems like a positive emblem. Where's the harm in a motivational here and there?

      1. @actualcannibalabigpony I don't see the problem with the emblem either - but I dislike it when schools are used to proclaim how awesome some social events like the olympics are.

        1. @hakupony Well I don't approve of the promotion of the event as much as it seems to be either. The emblem doesn't really seem to have anything to do with the olympics, though. The Olympics ARE kind of a big deal.

          1. @actualcannibalabigpony I don't see the connection either. However: war also is a big deal - this doesnt mean you should promote it like that. Personally, I am even against religion or ethics in school because this is something everypony must decite for him-/ herself and school is inherently hierarchical. It can not make you a free mature being - you can only become one by having the guts to use your own intellect. School can give you the methods and the knowledge for that, but that's about it.

            1. @hakupony I... guess. Big words too much for brain. I could really get into this whole debacle for hours on end, but I am afraid I'd make myself look stupid. All I know is that schools teach differently to promote different ideals of their respective countries/areas and war propaganda is no different. I don't really "believe" in countries or states or any of that, so debating topics like the correlation between school ideals and the promoted beliefs of the state they are associated with with an anarchist might not be the best idea right now, Especially at this time. There is no "freedom" and there is no "slavery", there is only an unbalence of either-or.

              1. @actualcannibalabigpony I don't know if you could say I was an anarchist but I like some of the lines of thought of that ideology. Sleep tight :)

    4. @supercammy Maybe there are some things you could do. I'm pretty good in bashing other ponies values and believes - or my own. Just tell me what these olympic values you talk about are and I can give you some points where they can be attacked during a discussion. Of course, there also are illegal ways to state your disapproval, but they are hardly worth the risk.

    5. @supercammy Well what's it doing? Putting a little picture with some words. the whole "Big brother" thing would be used to scare you or using a mascot or something might be used to more directly attack your innocence or something, but that just seems like a generic poster that promotes good values. It doesn't even really outright tell you to do anything. Excuse me if I I'm wrong, but that hardly seems associated with the Olympics thing and you seem to be reacting angrily toward them because of the tension WITH the Olympics.

    6. @supercammy If you see it like this. I and you - we both are brainwashed as well. The point is that we are part of a culture which provides us with patterns to think and to act. We are never "free" of this influences because we need these patterns to "work". The only thing you can do that can free yourself from this "brainwashing" is leanring how to see that you can look at things differently. You will decite for one point of the discussion but this would be your decition. The problem is: this is the kind of wisdom that is expected from senior college students.

    9. @supercammy Yes, music can do much about that. It doesn't do it for me to explain things but it is something. Well, I gotta go. See you.
