Well, there's no way I'm gonna be able to sleep now. Too panicked after seeing a message on MSN (which I will not disclose, out of respect for the assumed privacy of IM conversations, so there's no point in asking). So... I guess I'll be on here (sporadically, at least) basically all night?

@minti Well (attempting to omit any identifying details still), someone (who I don't have any other contact details for) posted something with a distinctly suicidal tone to it, and immediately logged off. And now I'm panicking over what to do, even though logically (again, no other contact details) I'm pretty sure there _isn't_ anything I can do except hope and pray that they log back on.

@bitshift I totally don't know how people can even think suicidally. I guess it's very inconsiderate of me but it's true. You'd have to completely ignore the world and all the people who love you to think that. :/ Hopefully they sign back in.

@minti That's just the thing. Suicidal depression puts the mind in a state that _isn't_ entirely logical. If it didn't, we'd already have it solved to the point of being a non-issue.
