    *sigh* none of the OTG apps I've installed detect the auto-mounted volume, or they even say there is no OTG support - which there clearly is. That's annoying because I also have no clue how to unmount - but the phone LOUDLY protests if I just remove the USB volume :( # # #

      @mk going to try yet another app - a toolkit specifically for MTK chips ... no joy; interesting set of tools, but nothing for OTG # #
