  1. So nobody here has seen Stargate?

    1. @clayinthecarpet I haven't, no.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:29:54 UTC from web
      1. @flamingpandaomg Oh my god. But, but the 90s.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:30:09 UTC from web
        1. @clayinthecarpet Dude, I was born in '92. I was more interested in Pokémon, Dragonball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh and Star Wars to care about much else.

    2. @clayinthecarpet nope, sorry

Monday, 19-May-14 05:30:09 UTC from web
    3. @stardust YES YOU UNDERSTAND. Do you see those things I'm holding? The Horus head is a "hero" (or 'closeup') prop, and the Anubis is a stunt piece used for fight scenes. My former contractor is repairing the Horus to be fully animatronic again.

      1. @clayinthecarpet Are those Jaffa masks?

Monday, 19-May-14 05:35:52 UTC from web
        1. @nerthos Anubis and Horus, screen-used, Horus is animatronic and I got to watch the repairs all day today in front of my eyes. Its eyes light up and he can move his bird head in all directions again. Three motors restored for that one, then there are the things on the side of the head that open into 3 pieces. Fully wearable prop, even today. The paint is completely intact.

          1. @clayinthecarpet How muh did that cost

Monday, 19-May-14 05:38:34 UTC from web
            1. @nerthos The Horus head? almost $70,000

Monday, 19-May-14 05:38:55 UTC from web
              1. @clayinthecarpet Man, you sure know how to spend money

Monday, 19-May-14 05:40:20 UTC from web
                1. @nerthos It's not my prop. I just joined my contractor in watching him restore it for a customer. I do NOT make that kind of money.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:40:55 UTC from web
                  1. @clayinthecarpet That makes much more sense.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:41:12 UTC from web
            2. @nerthos I kinda had to handle the face VERY CAREFULLY for that picture, because I don't wish to dole up a $70,000 prop

              1. @clayinthecarpet shoulda doodled on it before you put it back

    5. @clayinthecarpet I've seen a few episodes. Its pretty good.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:32:36 UTC from web
      1. @techdisk I'm not talking about the show. I'm talking about the Movie that spawned the show with Kurt Russell

Monday, 19-May-14 05:33:31 UTC from web
        1. @clayinthecarpet oh. Then no.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:33:46 UTC from web
    6. @stardust Neither have I.

    8. @stardust Nope. Just making sure to highlight it.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:36:08 UTC from web
    9. @stardust "screen-used" is a term that means "used in the film and screen-matched, bit for bit"

    11. @stardust Never. God, never. I'd blow it on a much more relevant prop than those. I mean, who the grapes remembers Stargate except collectors?

Monday, 19-May-14 05:42:14 UTC from web
      1. @clayinthecarpet None of us, apparently.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:42:28 UTC from web
      2. @clayinthecarpet Hey, don't diss Stargate.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:42:58 UTC from web
        1. @nerthos I'm just saying. I remember it because it was a huge part of my youth as a sci-fi film...but a lot of kids have NO idea what it is because it vanished into obscurity faster than a fart in the wind.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:44:07 UTC from web
          1. @clayinthecarpet I have most if not all of SG:Atlentis in DVDs around that I need to watch

Monday, 19-May-14 05:45:43 UTC from web
          2. @clayinthecarpet My farts linger for hours.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:45:44 UTC from web
            1. @flamingpandaomg Your farts are more relevant to most people than Stargate, the movie.

Monday, 19-May-14 05:46:18 UTC from web
            2. @flamingpandaomg But the people who do remember Stargate remember it for its brilliant designs.
