cc @zoowar et al. just as a reminder here: #twister is still way #inferior to SN/GS in terms of user features, so the "average Joe" won't like it. That's a fact. But for me the big advantage right now of twister is: that people I communicate with run their own software #self-hosting

I usually help people a lot trying to get their own SN/GS running. The recent one being @howcanuhavemyusername, we had lots of chats + I am sure without my help he'd given up on it yet

the one person I was quite #sad about leaving his own instance was @lohang @lg :-( one of his issues of data portability works out-of-the box with twister http://federation.skilledtests.com/Statusnet_problems.html#data_portability
