@l1ghtsword So Jin had the arm of the ogre as a trophy. The ogre had run off into the woods, so he knew it probably wouldn't come back to terrorize the woodcutters and fish merchants of the village. He returned just then to the tea house, where his comrades and the peasants saw the proof of his courage...
-
@loveydoe @l1ghtsword But as we all know, ogres are vengeful spirits. Jin knew this, even as he showed visitors the ogre's arm. He decided to lock the arm in a gilded treasure chest. It took a day to bind the chest in strong chains. Visitors still came for a week more, but when news spread that the arm was locked away, no one came anymore. That is, until Jin's old babysitter arrived at the tea house...
-
@loveydoe @l1ghtsword So, what do you think happened? Why did the babysitter come?
-
@mushi Finding an appropriate use for this image format: http://lists.suckless.org/dev/1407/23155.html
-
@loveydoe Because she is the ogre in a dress!
-
@l1ghtsword You guessed it. She met with Jin, and said, 'You owe your old babysitter. Let me see that ogre's arm. It would make me so proud. I raised you well, I did.' And when Jin refused (because releasing the arm would be dangerous) she pushed further. 'I didn't teach you to be so secretive and evil to your elders. I deserve to see it.' This hurt Jin, so he chose to show it to her, but only for a split second...
-
@loveydoe @l1ghtsword The last of the story must wait for another day. That is, unless you want to hear it now...
-
@loveydoe sorry i keep leaving to do stuff. i would like to hear the end
-
@l1ghtsword Well, Jin slowly unshackled the chest. His babysitter craned over his shoulder with a developing, slender grin. Jin placed the key into the lock...
-
@loveydoe oh its all ogre now
-
@l1ghtsword And she stole the arm as soon as he lifted the lid! Jin was surprised, and had to set himself right on his feet again. His training gave him the speed to draw his sword before the flames on his babysitter's body departed to reveal the hulking, red ogre. A single slash, and...
-
@loveydoe the ogre farts and states better out then in.
-
@l1ghtsword ... thus goes the story of Jin the samurai, who bested the bridge ogre twice. The bridge was safe, but the tea house was condemned, and all the rice within a mile rotted.
-
@loveydoe damn, papaya ogres.....
-
@l1ghtsword The end. I hope you enjoyed the tale. I have more, whenever you are in the mood to hear one.
-
@loveydoe for sure
-
@l1ghtsword Is this just acknowledgment, or are you ready for another? :-)
-
@l1ghtsword Sounds like fun.
-
@loveydoe A little but yeah. it nice to get back to programming after a break.
-
@l1ghtsword Are you using a framing device for the story? What is the context of pursuing all of these people?
-
@loveydoe words... im not Writing staff for a reason. i can program, i can draw and i make musics but i CANNOT write a dating sim. Talk to Ross or Cone for that
-
@loveydoe And tbh, Not yet established. im writing the core engine atm
loveydoe likes this. -
@l1ghtsword Will it be compatible with Linux?
-
@loveydoe i would like to establish an end game plot or at least a conflict. like RDN users go NUTS and all hell breaks loose or something. for programming purposes...
-
@loveydoe And if i get my way, yes
-
@l1ghtsword I will be following your progress and writing a C implementation that depends on Unix/Linux features. So excited!
-
@caret7 Actually my intention is Java for its open platform design. so there will be no need
-
@l1ghtsword Nice! I will still be writing the C as an experiment, if it does not bother anyone.
