  1. Bleh okay, MMORPGs don't want me to play them. Disconnection galore. Wassup RDN.

    1. @minti RDN is best MMO, anyway. :P

      1. @bitshift Pfffffffft. If RDN was a MMO we'd all be rich. Or something. xD

        1. @minti But the drama stages would be hilarious.

        2. @minti What metric would we even convert into currency? Post count?

Friday, 25-May-12 11:36:26 UTC from web
          1. @bitshift "Drama" Wait, that encourages drama.

            1. @minti Negative of the square of Drama. That would discourage drama, and punish large amounts of drama significantly more.

          2. @bitshift Post count is currency, and daily average is level.

            1. @nerthos So it would be possible to level down in RDN?

Friday, 25-May-12 11:39:18 UTC from web
              1. @bitshift That would encourage people to stay and talk.

Friday, 25-May-12 11:44:53 UTC from web
                1. @nerthos Ah, I see. But that seems to assume all posts, no matter how bad/good their logic/comprehensibility, carry the same value.

                  1. @bitshift Isn't the same with grinding? Subscriptions could be the equivalent to "PVP ranking" and by content of the posts some kind of merit award could be given. Still, it doesn't matter how much a post is worth to the system, if you post with content, you simply earn the respect of the rest of the userbase.

                    1. @nerthos Fair enough. And yeah, most non-human-judged metrics in online games end up carrying little value, anyway, so it wouldn't be unusual. :)

                      1. @bitshift With MMOs, the thing is simple: a level 50 character with a guild backing him up can accomplish more than a level 80 character alone.

    2. @minti Also, hi!

Friday, 25-May-12 11:33:49 UTC from web
    3. @minti Hi minti. What MMO were you trying to play?

Friday, 25-May-12 11:35:44 UTC from web
      1. @nerthos Dragon Nest. Trying to grind levels, game hates me. XD

Friday, 25-May-12 11:36:21 UTC from web
        1. @minti Never tried it. Is it any good?

Friday, 25-May-12 11:37:29 UTC from web
          1. @nerthos It's kinda hit or miss. As far as "pay-as-much-as-you-want" games go it's pretty good. I prefer it over most wanna-be free-WoW clones. xD

            1. @minti I'll look at it. Though I'm thinking of setting up a Lineage 2 server just for fun, because the late experience curve is frightening in that game.

            2. @minti I've heard about that one, they say it's good for spending time, but i never played it. Oh and, hi, i'm francis! XD
