  1. I just revived my old(ish) little Synology USB station which can make up to two USB devices available on the network. It's running, and I got as far as providing access for (user on) Marie to the one portable USB drive I connected: I can browse files, including pictures - not superfast, but usable. Now I need to figure out how to properly set up a SMB (Samba) client on Marie (Debian) and/or Dennis (Fedora). # #

    1. @mk If I get it fully functional, I'll have to think about a role for this little box (named Adele), maybe I can do something useful with it. It was too slow for what I originally had in mind for it, but that was before Marie and Dennis came onto the scene.

    2. @mk making some progress (on Dennis/Fedora) but not there yet: I can see the machine and have Gigilo set up correctly (I think) but I still can't connect #
