    quite disappointed that Linux Mint (LMDE) repos do not have Phil Harvey's ExifTool (though they do have a large set of graphics software). # # #

      @mk Oh, this is confusing: it does have what it calls 'libimage-exiftool-perl' which actually seems to be the exiftool script PLUS the Image::ExifTool Perl module. Confusingly named! But the version it has is MUCH older than what's in Debian
