@shred316 Lol. Thats awesome! Can the RB26 do 1000hp on a stock block? I just love the 2JZ because (better design over the 1JZ/7M, You could get in in LHD cars here, cheaper parts, and their sound is to die for). But I love em both. LOVE straight engines. Primarily those two l6's

@renovatedkitchen I know the 2JZ is alot more user friendly and cheaper to get parts for, but the first sports car I fell in absolute love with was the Nissan Skyline. It's a solid platform, high rev, and overall a good engine. Sure it isn't a tough as the 2JZ, but I'd still chose it over.

@shred316 Thats totally cool. Everyone has their own preferance. Im no 2JZ fanboy. Both engines have their pros and cons, but one thing that is certian, thats that both are going to be remembered for a VERY long time. If I had the cash, I would go grab a (preferably) Supra (just love their look [jellybean on wheels xD]) Or a 240sx and do either a sr20 or 2JZ swap depending on my budget. But both those engines are great.

@shred316 Mhm. A rust free 240sx. Push the stock ka24 to a quick death, then save money. $10,000 for a stock targa? Is that for a Mk3 or Mk4? Mk4 in Toronto= $15-20k for one that needs work. Its pure stupid. 2JZ's sound ridiculous at 10k RPM. But love their sound at 3-5k RPM. Gives me the shivers everytime. Nissan has always had that great sound. You know the sound I mean.

@renovatedkitchen Oh I know the sound. I love everything cars. I was born into cars. No joke, after I was born, I was taken home in a '65 mustang convertable. Here, I've seen MK3s go for 5-7K. I was never a fan of the KA24, but I need it for the special engine I plan on running. It'll be so sweet! Personally, any engine sounds good at 10,000 RPM. ;D

@colfax Lol. But the weight of the pistons, rods, crank and the fact that its a pushrod which means its got more to the valvetrain, thus cant rev high, I'll still take my 4G63. They can handle amazing power on the stock pistons/rods

Anything from a B16 to an LS1. I love knowing how they work, and love to push engines (power wise, not as in racing) to see what they can handle.

@shred316 Hmm. Cant say I know too much of the different head bolt patters. The only thing to do with headstuds is how some people put 7 bolt heads on 6 bolt bottom ends and need to change some things in the head then. Yup. Know what a bell housing is. Matching a 6 speed or something to a built ka24?

@shred316 Why not just go for a set of HKS 264's or 272's? They arent very aggressive, so great for street use, but they will bring up the middle range very well, especially with that ka24 block. Never waste a lot of money on an N/A engine. Its like chasing your tail.

@shred316 I love it too ^_^. My car loves RD. The cams are very aggressive for level 2 cams and have a 274 duration. No numbers yet, but should hit 400-500hp at the wheels (AWD). On a bone stock bottom end and tranny xD.

@shred316 Oooo. Nothing off brand went into that car. Nothings at all. GSC makes the best cams for us, Kiggly makes great valvetrain stuff for DSM's, Fidanza makes good flywheels, KW makes coilovers that only pro racers use.
