    1. @taknamay Anarchists believe all authority is intrinsically bad. They see only in extremes and are thus divorced from reality. In truth, among equals authority is granted by mutual agreement and without any ill feelings or exploitation, based on who's more fit or trusted to organize a certain task. They won't accept this though, regardless of reasoning. Both anarchism and absolute authoritarism are equally bad and can result in nothing but misery.

      1. @nerthos @taknamay And funnily enough, as you can see by that conversation, they also contradict their own philosophy. By forcing a community who wants a leader to remove it, they're exercising authority upon that community, in turn becoming a kind of misguided absolutist authority themselves. Ruling others so they abide to their ideal of no leaders - being the leaders without admitting it.

        1. @nerthos that's just one person. Anarchism is a diverse range of views

      2. @nerthos I think authority is pretty much always bad, I just want to allow people to choose authority as long as it's voluntary

        1. @taknamay Authority is necessary, though most people can't exercise it beyond a very small degree without abusing it.
