  1. @gameragodzilla @katiekats As someone who played SC/Brood War competitively, Starcraft 2 is the epitome of a zero-effort game.  The engine and assets are new.  It doesn't have a single new mechanic in there though.

Not even a change.  A twist.  A variation.

    1. @maiyannah Impopular opinion here: I liked that. I wanted SC2 to be SC with better graphics, and it was just that.

      1. @nerthos No, that's the popular opinion.  And I can't say it's a wrong one, but frankly taking 2-3 years with each expansion and charging me full price, I expect more.  If it was a cut-price game I'd give it a pass.

        1. @maiyannah I've been paying like $8 for each so I can't really complain. I don't even play the multiplayer often to be honest, I just enjoy the campaign. I'll get Legacy of the Void whenever it's on sale.

          1. @nerthos See, if I was paying that, I'd have no complaints.

Instead I'm paying 45$ plus tax.

            1. @maiyannah Oh man I can count the games I'd pay >$40 for with the fingers of one hand. Blizzard games are cheap for me because they have a local office so they sell on local currency and are behind on inflation, so they end up selling for like half of the price or less. Next time something comes up from blizzard that you want let me know and I can probably get it for you super cheap in exchange for some steam or gog game.

              1. @nerthos I'll keep it in mind, thanks!

                1. @maiyannah I got my girlfriend SC2+HotS for like $15 near christmas. On steam I'm unable to send gifts internationally due to the stupid region lock (which doesn't even make sense as the prices are the same here that in USA, in us$) but Blizzard lets me send gifts through mail.
