            @taknamay I'm having a hard time finding it, but around a decade or so ago the U.S. signed a deal with Israel to disrupt M.E.N.A. to both weaken governments that threaten Israel and to replace governments of places like Syria with ones that would be closer to the U.S. Not unusual in international politics, one of the reasons why the South Sudan exists is because Uganda wanted an ally in the North.

            My use of CIA in this case is me using the most common alphabet soup combo.
